Any experience with how wait listed excursions end up? Despite looking at excursions 6 months ahead, 2 of the excursions had to be wait listed. They were included ones. It seems like we should be able to get the included excursions or the dollar value if they are not going to be available. Any experience with someone who has cruised and dealt with this issue is appreciated.

Looking for couple traveling on this cruise who is interested in a private tour in Adelaide. We are mid 60's from SC in USA. Tour guide with car would be $300 AUD per couple and there would be incidentals like lunch, wine tasting fee and probably a tip. The tour company would deal directly, and payment is not due until completion of tour. Only 1 day at sea to meet a new friend so we thought we would post and see if someone wants to share this adventure with us. Below is the tour itinerary recommended by the tour company. Suggest start at 9am from Cruise Terminal, travel into CBD touring the cultural highlights North Adelaide & North Terrace, walk through Botanic Gardens, visit Adelaide Central Market, Then into the Adelaide Hills, great views from Mount Lofty Lookout, then time in Hahndorf (allow 2 hours including time for lunch, in the afternoon head to Penfolds in the foothills at Magill for a wine tasting (3pm, allow 1 hour). Return to Outer Harbor by 5pm.
