Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. In case anyone is interested, I did pack the wine in my checked bag and had no opportunity to transfer it to my hand luggage before getting onto the cruise ship. No one asked any questions and I no I didn't volunteer to any frazzled, rushed staff members: "HEY GUYS THERE'S WINE IN MY CHECKED BAG JUST IN CASE YA WANTED TO KNOW!" Bag was waiting for me when I got to my cabin, wine intact.
  2. You would think NCL would give clear instructions re: the proper way to carry on bottles of wine or champagne. I'm not doubting your statement, but there's nothing in their written policy that prohibits bringing it in your checked bag.
  3. I'm not trying to get out of paying the corkage fee and I certainly don't want to go to the naughty room!. It's just that the bottles will have been in my checked luggage from the flight. Sounds like I'll need to find a moment to get them out and transfer them to my hand luggage.
  4. NCL doesn't specify how many bottles you can bring. I am thinking I'll bring 2 (one for me, one for husband) just to play it safe--I don't have the FAS. Are they going to care if I put both bottles in my suitcase?
  5. Can anyone speak from experience how NCL assesses the corkage fee if you bring wine onboard? For instance, if I bring a bottle of wine in my checked bag that I plan on consuming in my cabin... how does NCL charge me the corkage fee for this?
