  1. Hi - at least as of our Barcelona to NYC trip, 11/20 to 12/1, we had full access (plus the onboard credit). Tub was empty when we arrived at our room - housekeeping filled it just as soon as we requested it. I will say the water comes out quite hot - 104 degrees - and remains pleasantly warm for about 24 hours. So each day we had housekeeping drain and refill it - super easy and quick process, I was amazed! - housekeeping was even able to fulfill our requests that it be filled and ready at certain times of day so we could have maximum enjoyment. Very pleased with the experience. We were on deck 11, aft facing - there are 2 of the particular suite we chose on entire ship - both deck 11 aft facing - I forget what it is called - it is a single large room with extra large balcony - not one of the multi-bedroom ones. We did not get a chance to speak to others who had private hot tubs. Good luck and safe travels!
  2. Boarded NCL Prima today. Thrilled to report our private balcony hot tub is fully functional, no restrictions - house keeping got it filled right away, and explained if we wanted it cleaned they would do so but it is not necessary. Asked Haven concierge about OBC - he said this is no longer available because hot tubs have no restrictions - but when we got to our cabin, we have note cards showing we have the $500 in credits so we shall see.
  3. I will let you know, based upon my experience. Leaving tomorrow AM Barcelona to NYC, Prima (11/20/23), we were already booked Haven - and then a room became available (not upgrade opportunity) - aft cabin with private hot tub - which is what we wanted to begin with so super excited we could book - hot tub was key to changing res - then about a week before departure, received an email from NCL advising about the private hot tub situation - really disappointed - but came here to learn more and learned this has been a long standing problem I did not even know about - so good idea to follow discussion here to see if you want to cancel upgrade bid! Wish I had known more - happy this forum is here for future planning

Well here you go...we leave on the Prima 11/20/23, Barcelona to NYC and just got the email advising one must contact housekeeping to fill the hot tub in order to use it, you can only stay in for an hour, and then housekeeping must return to drain and clean it. This is kinda crazy, it takes some time to entirely fill and then heat a hot tub!!! Sounds like a giant waste of time for all involved, but I guess better than no use at all? With this being a November transatlantic was REALLY looking forward to spending lots of time in the hot tub - the sole reason we chose our cabin! It is odd to me that the private hot tubs are being targeted. Will other tubs/pools end up closed as well? The thermal spa? Wonder what housekeeping will do with multi-time per day/late night requests? I intend to find out!
