  1. Thank you for the input! Ended up choosing the "Coral Island" snorkel after googling the locations, and the "Off Road" option in St Lucia. Will be looking forward to reading the first reviews of this itinerary in January
  2. Hello fellow sailors! Was hoping to get some feedback on shore excursions for the Southern Isles itinerary in Guadeloupe and St Lucia. Does anyone have experience with "Sail and Snorkel Into The Biosphere" vs "Coral Island Snorkel" in Guadeloupe? In St Lucia: "Off Road, Sailing And Beach Bum Combo Pack" vs "Pitons, Botanicals and Bays From Land To Sea?" Thank you!!
  3. Thank you! That is the feedback I wanted. Ultimately for me the ports are most important. We are looking at early March to completely miss the Easter/Spring break periods. I was worried that Valletta and Palermo were more of a "beach destination." Otherwise they are both 7 day cruises with one day at sea.
  4. Hello fellow cruisers! Help me decide which cruise would be more enjoyable in March/April 2024. 1. Europa (Palermo and Valletta the only new ports for me) 2. Fantasia (La Spezia and Naples are new) We will go early March or April 1 to 12 to avoid the worst of EU spring break. Thanks!
  5. Has anybody brought wine bottles on board for consumption in your stateroom recently? We are on the Breakaway out of New Orleans in April. If I am reading NCL's policy correctly, it states that there will be no corkage fee assessed if the passenger has a beverage package, and there is no bottle limit. Is this true?
  6. Can anybody tell me if the toiletries that are supplied in the spa balcony category are restocked during the week? I saw a you tube tour of the cabin and the author said only one set is given. Need to know if I have to bring my own body lotion and conditioner!
  7. Sorry, can't comment on the kid's club. But there were most definitely 2 craps tables in the casino
  8. According to hubby, he saw cigar smoking on the designated side of the pool deck (port?.) I haven't seen a cigar lounge. InTENse, ice show and Voices were all good. Haven't been on a ship with a Broadway play, so can't compare! TAP and Effectors still coming up. So far I have liked the Voyager class the most. What used to be huge now considered mid sized😅
  9. The rooms are wonderful: calm blues and browns. Wonderful closet and storage! The shows that we couldn't get reservations for before the cruise opened up upon boarding (through the app.) We also had no trouble going in "stand by." Reservations that are not there by ten minutes prior get released. Love and Marriage Show was at 3pm on the first sea day.
  10. Our balcony is on deck 6, yes close to the water! Here we are in San Juan
  11. I am currently sitting on my ocean view balcony about halfway through the Wonder's Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Clearly the wifi package is working beautifully! This is my first experience on the Oasis Class or larger, so some preliminary thoughts. I miss the open water views on the promenade deck (deck 5.) Now it is primarily a jogging track with views almost entirely obscured by the lifeboats except for the aft section. It's a great boon for joggers, because threading through the sunbathers above the pool was never a viable option. Now deck 6 can have balconies because lifeboats moved down. I understand the reasoning, just really miss after dinner strolls. Entertainment is amazing. Period. New menus are good. I feel like in general this class of ship has its emphasis inward: the promenade, central park, even boardwalk with very little reminding you that you are at sea. Solarium is positioned nicely forward. Not as stuffy as some posters have mentioned. It's a little loud at times. Overall, I would cruise on this ship again, but I think my favorite size is voyager class. A day at sea beats a day at work anytime!
