  1. Any Publix Supermarket has a decent selection of wine available for sale. There are literally one hundred locations all over Florida.
  2. If the room isn't ready the hotel normally has a location near check in where they will store your luggage. If it isn't too busy you shouldn't have to wait too long.
  3. Uber, Lyft or a cab will easily get you over to the Port Of Miami. After dropping off the rental car head up to the top floor of the facility. When you exit the building you will first see the buses that take you over to MIA. Cabs usually line up to the right of the buses. Pretty sure that's the same pick up point for Uber too.
  4. Free shuttle service from Port Everglades back to FLL was discontinued approximately four years ago. The easiest way to get over to FLL is either Uber, Lyft or a cab for the short fifteen minute ride. Pick up a rental vehicle from the Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood Rental Car Center. There are no rental car facilities directly at the Port Of Miami so if you rent from either Avis, Budget or Hertz they have downtown Miami locations that are minutes away from the port. If you rent from Alamo, National, Enterprise, Dollar or Thifty you have to return the rental vehicle at the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center located directly across from MIA. Free shuttle service from that facility was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic. You would have to Uber, Lyft or cab it over from there to the Port Of Miami
  5. Free shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid Pandemic. To my knowledge it hasn't been reinstated yet. If your renting from the Rental Car Center a cab for the short twenty minute ride is a set price of twenty eight dollars plus tip. The downtown Miami rental locations are very small and very busy on cruise turnaround days. Personally I would stick with the MIA rental car location.
  6. Any flight after 12 noon should be fine at MIA. The airport is especially busy on weekend turnaround days.
  7. Since your arriving after midnight I would stay at an airport area hotel and then Uber or Lyft over to the Port Of Miami in the morning.
  8. Check Larry's Limos for all your transportation needs. A highly recommended company used by many Cruise Critic posters. I have used there service a few times and was always satisfied. More expensive than Uber or Lyft but worth it. Call them for a price quote.
  9. Free shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center was discontinued at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. To my knowledge there hasn't been a return of service yet.
  10. Contact the hotel directly. They most likely have a list of companies they use. If you want to spend extra contact Larry's Limos for excellent, reliable service. Recommended by many Cruise Critic posters including myself.
  11. I would reserve a hotel room for the night and cancel the NCL transfer in the morning. Why would you want to spend the night in the terminal sitting on an uncomfortable chair. Not a great way to start your cruise vacation!
  12. It's impossible to reserve a parking space at the Port Of Miami. If you arrive anytime after 10:00AM the passengers on the previous sailings have already left and there will be plenty of spaces available. I have never seen the garages totally full and I have been sailing from that port since my first cruise in May 1983.
  13. The is no free shuttle service from Port Everglades to FLL. The service was discontinued approximately four years ago. Grab a cab for the short fifteen minute ride over to the Hollywood/ Fort Lauderdale International Airport Rental Car Center.
  14. Carnival's transportation is only on embarkation day and disembarkation days. The bus doesn't leave for the Port of Miami until it's full of passengers. I would either grab a cab, Uber or Lyft to get there. It's usually cheaper too because Carnival charges per person for bus transportation.
  15. Anything after 12 Noon should be fine. Both MIA and FLL are busy on cruise turnaround days.
  16. Larry's Limos is a great choice for transportation in the South Florida area.A cab would be my second choice if your not interested in using Uber or Lyft.
  17. As long as your sailing on two Celebrity ships you won't have a problem. Both ships dock relatively close to one another. If Celebrity doesn't provide you with shuttle service grab a cab for the short ride, tip well and your all set..
  18. Uber, Lyft or a cab will work. Contact Larry's Limos for a price quote. They provide you with clean vehicles, knowledgeable drivers and reasonable rates. Used by many Cruise Critic posters including myself.
  19. They let the Uber operator take you directly to the pier. On most occasions they ask to see the Uber drivers personal identification too.
  20. Save the Disney trip for a land based vacation. It's not worth the hassle to travel from Port Canaveral to Disney for only a few short hours. You need at least a day or two to see everything.
  21. The area where Uber and Lyft drivers wait for jobs is located just south of the newer runway near Federal Highway. If you call for a pickup they normally show up at arrivals on the ground floor of the airport.
  22. By the way, what ship leaves from the Port of Palm Beach. If it's the old Carnival ship that now sailing as the Margaritaville I would definitely pass on that. The United States Coast Guard had some serious issues with that ships seaworthiness recently.
  23. Contact Larry's Limos for a price quote. Company is highly recommended and popular with Cruise Critic posters. I have used them a few times myself and always satisfied with there service.
  24. A few months ago a read a sad story from first time cruisers from outside Baltimore who were scheduled to fly in on a Sunday morning to MIA. The family consisted of a husband, wife and child along with the wife's parents. The young couple purchased insurance but the older couple did not. They were notified on Saturday that their Southwest flight and another flight a few hours later was cancelled too. They headed to BWI on Sunday morning hoping for a miracle. It didn't happen and I'm pretty sure they missed their twelve day MSC Divina sailing. She also thought that if there were many flight cancellations they would hold up the embarkation a few hours or reschedule the voyage until Monday. I explained that the ship's captain can hold up the sailing for a few hours but not until the next day.
  25. The last two American Airlines flights are cutting it too close. For a 4:00PM sailing you need to be checked in and on the vessel by 2:30PM. Too much stress for me!
