  1. That last paragraph. They know it is summer here during the cancelled season, right? 🤣
  2. This is disappointing to hear, but I'm not surprised. I've been expecting to here this since they removed listings. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Aussies who were booked feel the same way you do. If they do decide to comeback in a few years, it might not go well for them. I would personally give Vorgin Voyages another chance (I see the fully diffrent from the airline), but not for a couple years and it would have to be an area they are established it. No more booking before they do their first season in an area.
  3. It has been mentioned in a few other threads that Resiliant Lady shows up on St Maarten Cruise Ship Bookings website between Dec 2024 and March 2025. At the time it was suggested that the bookings where place holders for Brilliant Lady, but maybe that isn't the case.
  4. This is so true. After this I think I'm going to give them a miss, untill they are a bit more "stable." I really feel for those who have now been twice cancelled.
  5. I would say B. Since someone found that port booked for Resiliant Lady. Given what we have seen, I really doubt they will come back to Aus next season. I'm booked on Resiliant Lady for Jan 2025 and I've started making alternative plans.
  6. As someone who just booked 4 night cruise, I would be happy with just the 1. I think that would be plenty pre-fixe, particularly on Crow Princess which seems to have less options for them. I'm not even 100% sure I'll be using both.
  7. I might do that. When the do officially cancel Virgin, many will be looking for an alternative. My back up leaves from the same port 4 days after the Virgin would finish. Worst case, I can try and fit both in (my wallet doesn't like this idea)
  8. Did she give any indication on whether they would be coming back to AU or not? I'm guessing they aren't supposed to (if they even know), but sometimes you can get an idea from the way people say things.
  9. This is so true. I just wish they would hurry up and make the announcement. Meanwhile, watching my back up cruise choice sell out is getting frustrating.
  10. That is what I believe too. I've even chosen a Jan 2025 Princess Cruise I'll be booking instead. Just waiting for the final confirmation from Virgin.
  11. Thank you so much for these. I'll be booking a princess cruise soon and been unsure what sort of package to go with for cocktails (I can find discussions on wine, but that is less important to me).
  12. I kind of find it halarious that those of us booked for next season in AU can still pay of the cruise balance or add bar tab to the booking.
  13. Someone from Virgin is going to be crunching the numbers to try work out which course of action will be the most profitable. I can't say I envy that person.
  14. They did have a few round trips starting from Sydney next season.
  15. I imagine the other lines with ships down here will be happy if Virgin stays away. I'm already looking at which cruises have 4-6 nights from Sydney this January thru March.
  16. As some one with a 2025 Australia cruise booked. I'm hoping the find that the this alternative route around Africa does well and come back that way October.
  17. Thank you for the update. The article says we should hear the decision on the return for next season by end of February. So, not too long of a wait, but considering they have removed sailings it isn't looking good.
  18. I'm in the exact same boat. I would love to take a longer cruise, but can only have enough leave for shorter cruises. I keep trying to save up AL, but life always gets in the way.
  19. Intresting, might have to go watch that YouTube this evening. Thank you.
  20. Have you asked what happens if you use it had then then the cruise is cancelled? Like if you would be eligible for a refund then or if it would go back to being MNVV you are expected to use elsewhere (if that makes any sense)?
  21. It is scary to think that those ships still have crew on them. I really hope they all make it through safely.
  22. I would love to hope this is the case, or it is some other naming issue like jon81uk said. However, I guess I'm a bit pessimistic and telling me heart there is a good chance our Jan 2025 booking will be cancelled. I have emailed them via "contact us" form on the website. Will see what they have to say.
  23. It is all very frustrating for those of us who have booked one of these sailings, right. I think I might contact their customers services, see if I can get any information we can get.
  24. I have one booked in January, so fingers crossed they don't cancel all the AU cruises.
  25. Has anyone else gone to check? I just looked at their website and I can still see Australian cruises listed for summer 24/25. I can't say none have been removed, but not all.
