  1. @js10 thank you for taking time and thoroughly review your cruise with Sun Princess!! We’re currently sailing for the second week and I’d agree with you on all points! I was curious to see a very young cruise director and his assistant.. couldn’t understand much of his role on the ship, except morning show and announcements. He seemed always preoccupied with his looks and moves 😊 other cruise directors would be open to communicating. He definitely wasn’t open for any discussion or engaging in conversation. Just my observation over the last 7 days.
  2. Actually, we visited sanctuary couple of days ago (on a sea day). It had barely any people there and we’re offered right away to pay $99 per person for a day pass. Or $499 for cabana. So I think it’s not concrete that’s for suite guest only. If there’s demand they’ll deny you buying a pass. In our case, we enjoyed our full day there and will be back on another sea day.
  3. Bingo 😂 I spotted washer not in use at 5am this morning (not on my deck though). Well, today is disembarkation of about 2700 passengers in Barcelona. Probably that helped.
  4. With reserved seating you’re definitely going to get seats together 15min before the show, however, they’re not going to be aisle seats (those tend to be taken first), you’d have to make your way into the center of the section. I observed the staff removing chair covers to seat other guests just couple minutes before the show for unoccupied reserved seats (not many were left).
  5. We came 30 min before the arena production shows and could choose pretty good seats. If you come 15 min early all the center and best view seats would be already taken. Btw, No drinks service in this Sun Princess arena, so most of ppl come grab seats, one person holds them, while others go to the bar for drinks. However, if you want to see acrobatics show in the dome that can only seat around 250 ppl at a time, you need to be there an hour in advance. Some people were really frustrated about this situation.
  6. Yep, sad state of things here. Will be sending my laundry out for a fee. Im just so not comfortable for someone else doing my laundry, only ever used dry cleaning for dresses, shirts and suits. Don’t have another choice, not enough clean clothes for a second week 😞
  7. It used to work, and they’re saying they’re looking to fix the issue, however, not anytime on our cruise..
  8. you’re correct! At the recent Pirate production show this week it was exactly the area reserved. we’re sitting on the opposite side in the same area. Central section would still be the best for the screen view and special effects.
  9. You’re right! However, this is what came out from the mouth of the staff upselling it to us.. the fact that they didn’t care to follow up with me meant even more for me….
  10. Just to clarify again, the lockers are no longer locked in both men’s and women’s changing rooms.. at least on this voyage. And you’re told about it upfront by staff.
  11. 3 nights ago I asked if I could make substitutions and not have oysters. The answer was -“well, it’s a set menu by 4 star Michelin chef… blah blah blah, but I’ll inquire with chef”. I gave my cabin number to be followed up with, so far - no response. They’re still selling it as a promotional price of $79 vs $149 original price per person. I know off shore this type of dinner would be quite more expensive, but I’m still not “sold” on it for even $79.
  12. Yes, we just used enclave today. The heated loungers you see are the only ones Available. And yes, on sea days it’s packed there and personally for me it was not relaxing. There’s a separate relaxing room, but this is where people come before their treatments and traffic there is non-stop. Luckily, we only prepaid for one week on the embarkation day for $149/person as a special promo. The spa itself is bigger than ever, but enclave seems about the same as discovery princess, just different layout. FYI, the lockers are no longer actually locked, so can’t bring any valuables with you.
