Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks BND for responding. Still wondering if RC will modify their check-in times on the letter. I think the the parking and boarding will be better if they provided detailed requirements.
  2. There are 4 large cranes that just arrived at the bridge collapse site. MD governor says work will start soon but says it could take months to clear. The Army corps of Engineers are evaluating what the project will require. The ship is the first thing they say will need to be dealt with. The latest videos show 55galon drums that are no longer in their containers laying on the front of the ship. Once hazmat gets involved the whole process will come to a halt until it can be removed. No is willing to make the call on when the channel will be clear.
  3. Has anyone received a new arrival time for the Norfolk Cruise. The letter says boarding is between 1230 and 1530 but I have yet to see any new specific times. My original time is 1100-1130. Is it just going to be a free for all? I have watched some videos and the lines at the port are very large. Without a specific boarding time it will most definitely be a cluster.
  4. Just got an email from RC. They are going to use the Norfolk Cruise Terminal. Boarding is from 1230-1530.
  5. Carnival immediately decided to use their cruise terminal to receive the ship underway and all future Baltimore sailings. RC only has 1 terminal close to Baltimore which is NJ. The terminal is already set up to provide all the services needed to support both upcoming sailings. Wherever they go the current cruisers will need to get back to Baltimore. There are also no scheduling issues with the ship currently sailing from there.
  6. The Norfolk Cruise Terminal is a Carnival Terminal. It was scheduled to be renovated in 23 so not sure how Carnival is using it. There is also very limited parking near the terminal. I suspect that Vision will to the RC cruise terminal in NJ. It makes most sense. It is actually a little closer to Baltimore than Norfolk is. I am on the 4th sailing and like you I wish they would make a decision to either cancel the remaining 2 cruises. The ship will be going into drydock in May so cancelling them may be their solution. I find it funny that Carnival announced their plan the very next day. I expected more from RC.
