Wow that's weird that they didn't already.....we got upgraded 9 days out.....did you book any extra packages or excursions?....I'm just curious...because we did and so did our friends.....another guy purchased a drink voucher package and got upgraded to an oceanview....but people I know that purchased nothing have not been upgraded......

Only thing I did not agree on was… but, this is purely an American vs Europe thing

 

We love it, we love the fact that we can sit together as a family, get served on, order whatever food we would like, and can spend 2 hours a day together just doing the quality time family thing

 

 

I suppose, a lot of people prefer to go to a fast food joint, getting served, in and out on 5 min, and call that quality time with the family, even though the whole time, each member of the family was glued to her /his phone, lost in the online world.

 

Not aiming that at your Family, just at what i experienced in the USA...

Caveman it is a big thing here.........I actually feel sad when out to eat I see families sitting at a table and no one is talking they all are texting on their phones..........when we get together with our grown up kids........I'm like........phones off.........

Good location Aussie!!! You're next to the elevators towards the aft of the ship. Not a lot of foot traffic back there so it should be pretty quite.

and it's close to everything we like....aft pool and garden bar just a quick hike up the stairs......and so close to the elevator for Mikey....it's a perfect location actually.....I can't quite believe it...........

We got our cabin assignment...10245....a B2 balcony for the gty inside prices if $299........I can't beat that for sure..................I'm doing the old fashioned happy dance pre-cruise...........

Mike say it isn't so........Nassau.........ick......oh well there are people that have never been so for them it is an experience......we are just so lucky to have cruised so much there that it doesn't hold any appeal to us either....did you take advantage of the 3 day sale with balconies for $229...oh silly me of course you wouldn't......you are YC only.....:)...I never go around to it......and now I'm kicking myself......I'll keep watching...

I haven't called, someone said if you go to the website and try to book an excursion it will show you what your cabin # is when it is assigned.........the space is still blank.....

The store is located in the north side of Calle Fortaleza, in-between calle O'donnell and calle tanca. That is as good as an explanation as I can give you, sorry I cannot be more precise. It is a short walk away from the port. It was a rather small store.

I saw these and I immediately knew that my uncle would love them. So I called him over and of course he bought two of them. He said he was going to show them off at the office. Oh, by the way, he as architect for the government in Colombia. So, um yeah, I do not fully understand how showing that off in the office will go for him. But I am sure that by now you know his kind of sense of humor :D

 

 

I found this one for mom. It is crazy how all the walking they do and they rarely find anything. I go into the store 2 seconds and I find everything they need in that time :D.

I can just imagine the Divina Down Under and what the reviews would be like. They would be vastly different and far more positively focused.

 

Some people just need to lose their sense of entitlement and make the most of life. Perhaps some folks could really learn to adopt the "no worries" and "she'll be right" approach that us Aussies do so well.

Oh No we don't mean that at all........I was just having fun with a fellow Aussie............Pommie is because when English people came to Australia they got burned and looked the color or Pommegrante's ....well that's according to my hubby...........he could be totally pulling my leg...........I thought it was to do with being a prisoner of Mother England.......see we have no idea..............

All we do know is life is a gift and we want to have a good ride and treat those we meet with respect

Mike I had a chat with Gerry Cahill...CEO of Carnival and like you I would love them to do HMC instead of the 24 hour stop in Nassau on the 3 day cruise..........but he explained to me that it is a logistics factor.....basically they get paid to dock in Nassau by the country and bring in the $$$....their private island costs them $$$ so they only do it on the longer cruises....it makes sense but it still sucks.....I'm sure it is the same for the other private islands......however...it is funny I wrote to MSC on facebook where they answer all your questions very quickly........and they told me that at this time they are not going to reverse the itinery although they saw my point.............could it be something in the future............hopefully......

It is nice to read such posts at this to reassure any doubts I have regarding my upcoming back to back cruise in December. The amount of negative reviews is amazing although after much reading I think I can some up the two types of reviewers.

 

Firstly there seems to be the haters. The ones that want your typcal American cruise experience. Fast food service, drunken karaoke, and expect to be waited on hand and foot. Pity the poor people that cannot get someone to fetch them a drink when there is only 20 odd bars on the ship. Walk you lazy bums. The haters tend to be high maintenance and very precious. " I paid good money for this cruise and I expect service" blah blah blah.

 

Then we have the lovers. Those who like to stop and smell the roses in life. Those who are laid back and care free and don't think that they need to be waited on like royalty to have a good time.

 

I am really over the whinging whiny Americans. They make the Poms look relaxed (no offence to my Pommy mates). Quit your complaining and maybe the rest of the world may start to hold the Yanks in a much higher regard (and by the way I am half American).

My hubby said to tell you to not mention the bit about being half American....:D..........being Australian makes you carefree and laid back...it's in the blood...I was born a pommee...........:) but am Australian by injection and living there my whole life........until I came here....the US that is.......

That would definitely be a better itinerary Aussie!!! Nothing like spending your day at GSC only to get back on this ship knowing you have to pack all your things. Horrible feeling I tell you!!!

I'm more worried after a day in the sun and the all I can drink package.....I'll forget to pack and get up in time to get off............:D....I'll just tell him unless he wants a stow away he should consider the reversal option...........he might go for that..........
