Hello,
We are booked for a cruise this summer via a land based casino offer. The offer was "free for player plus guest" so my husband is in my moms room and I'm in my aunts room. We technically only had to pay for taxes and fees, but the cruise rate came out to $100 which they're crediting as OBC to make it "free." My mom and aunt don't drink but my husband and I do drink, so we want to get the Cheers package. Since anyone over 21 in the stateroom must get the drink package if other people are getting it, I'm thinking of switching with my mom once on board (actually switching rooms, not just getting an extra keycard).
My questions are:
Has anyone done this before?
Will we have any issues doing a real room switch with guest names and everything, not just getting an extra keycard for the rooms?
Will we lose the $100 OBC if we switch after we are on board?
Thanks for reading!
