We are going on Azura in a couple of weeks time and thought a drink in the Glass House as soon as we board might be in order. Can anyone tell me if they do food on embarkation day, or if the buffet is our only option?
Thanks!

What has happened to the list of crew. Can't find it any more. Does anyone have an up to date Our World, because I don't
It looks like it has gone from the P&O website. The only lists I can find online are very out of date!

My wife says there are board games in a cupboard in The Marlow Suite. Her and her sister often played them in the Crows Nest. The Marlow Suite is also used as a Card Room.

They painted Oriana and Oceana while they were in service, so they don't need to wait for a dry dock.

This is a one off itinerary that is not done very often so that probably explains the pricing you are now seeing.

On Cunard they have Cunard fare which is the equivalent of Select on P&O. On our Queen Victoria Cruise to the Baltic last year there were a few ports like Stockholm and Helsinki where shuttle buses were provided. Everyone had their Cruise cards scanned and those on Saver fares were charged. So it does "work" but it depends very much on the itinerary how much of a benefit it gives.
I hope this helps.

We have just found out that Azura A524 (departing 26th September) has had it's itinerary reversed, probably due to port congestion in St Peter Port. The current Britannia Cruise had the same thing happen, seemingly for the same reason.
What is everyone's take on this? As itineraries are worked about 2 years in advance could they not have avoided this and avoided this hassle! Just a thought.

P&O seem to be making a habit of reversing 7 day itineraries at the moment. The current Britannia Cruise, B516, had exactly the same thing happen!

Boxing Day is only celebrated in England, it's not even a holiday in Scotland!:-)
I can assure you that Boxing Day is a public holiday in Scotland! I have lived there all my life and have always had it as a holiday.

We are looking at excursions in Lisbon for our Azura cruise in September. One that has caught our eye is Lisbon by Land and River. It includes a river cruise along the River Tagus.
Has anyone done this excursion? If so any comments, good or bad, would be welcome. Is it worth doing?
Thanks in advance.

The dancing man group have also opened another in the old 'Wool house' (previously the Titanic museum, but that has moved) - I've not been there, but I understand there is a lot of the original building and things of interest inside
Thanks Karen. I haven't been in Southampton since that place opened but it's definitely on the agenda for the next time [emoji2]

I like the Platform Tavern pub near Town Quay. They do great food and brew their own beer under the Dancing Man banner. I have heard good things about Kuti's Royal Thai Pier next to Mayflower Park but have not eaten there myself.
I hope this helps.

The Mercure Dolphin Hotel is very popular and they do a Cruise package that includes parking. http://www.dolphin-southampton.com/stay_and_cruise.html
We opt to stay at the Premier Inn at West Quay most often and book valet parking at the terminal with CPS as we find this the most convenient thing, especially on returning when all you want to do is pack the car and get on the road!
Either option would be good depending on what you are looking for and budget.
Have a great Cruise!

P&O Australia is also owned by Carnival.

Thanks for all your replies. They have been very useful. I am looking forward to it even more now.

No not on Arcadia. Your butler will serve it in your cabin. And you get full English. :) :)
Thanks Dai. I think we will be taking advantage of this a lot :D

Another question if you don't mind! I know on some ships you can have breakfast in one of Select dining restaurants e.g. Seventeen on Azura. Is this also the case on Arcadia?
Thanks.

Thanks Gill! We have booked into C201, the Barcelona Suite. We are really looking forward to it even although it's over a year away!

Hi there
We have booked an Aft Suite on cruise J604 next year to celebrate my wife Jean's big birthday. It will be our first suite (and possibly our last for quite a while).
I wanted to ask if we get our Butler to oragnise pre-dinner drinks and nibbles for some guests will drinks be complimentary for this or do we have to pay for them. We thought this might be a nice thing to do on the balcony if the weather was nice and invite people we meet on our table or elsewhere.
I'd be greatful for any insights you can give.
Thanks in advance.

I saw it on BBC iPlayer back in March when it was shown in the South. It's quite interesting with the first episode following a troubleshooter on board QM2 trying to track down some missing replacement carpet for the Queens Room :)
There was also a full episode dedicated to recruiting a theatre cast for P&O's Aurora from Audition to first performance that I thought was interesting.
It's only 3 half hours and well worth a look if you can catch it.

Interesting comments guys. I agree with the majority of them. Thanks!

It seems to me that the people that would fill a potential Britannia club dining room would come out of the current Britannia diners. If they HAD to bring in this extra class could they not create a dining room for it from a section of the Britannia restaurant upstairs? Say one side of the balcony section? No doubt it would be the window side but using this section would leave the standard Britannia upstairs section with the open two storey section so that it was not too enclosed upstairs. Also there would be easy access to both sections.
This would actually make sense! But I suspect the precedent has already been set with Britannia Club on QE.

Hi
Does anybody know if they are running Bridge classes on the Queen Vic on the Baltic cruise leaving the 5 June?
My husband and I have very much enjoyed these on the QM2 on transatlantic crossings but realise that Cunard may not run the classes on cruises with few sea days.
Thanks.
On the Baltic cruise that has just finished they had Beginners and Intermediate Bridge classes on all sea days in the Card Room. I did not participate so cannot make any comment other than the classes where scheduled in the Daily Programme.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for all your comments. The Commodore Club is by far my favourite venue. However despite the flaws in the ships layout I still like this area. It seems that having bars with a passageway next to them is a common feature of cruise ships these days.
It sounds plausible that they would add extra cabins to the stern of QV as a precedent has been set with P&O's Arcadia, where they did a similar thing. However it would detract from the look of the ship. However the mighty Dollar is king and will always infirm the company's thinking.

Thanks for your replies. We were at least hoping to get a drink and maybe book for the wine pairing dinner. Some food would be the icing on the cake!
