  1. My partner and me have been on several regular cruises with Norwegian and Celebrity. We actually prefer Celebrity due to its service and atmosphere on board, Years ago our travel agent described it like this: if you prefer to travel with the Walmart of the seas, then go with Carnival, if instead you prefer Publix the go with Celebrity. Celebrity has a bit of more upscale vibe and we always noticed: less children. The daily meeting place for the LGBTIQ Community for the „Friends of Dorothy“ always at the great Martini Bar and mentioned in the Daly planner. Concerning the staterooms we always book Aqua Class which gives you access to your own restaurant „Blue“ and then to the Persian garden, the wellness area as well.
  2. After the issues had been dealt with by the Hotel Director we did enjoy our cruise, the next one on the Equinox is coming up in August, and The Millennium ist waiting for us next summer in Japan 🙂 Mistakes, even big mistakes can happen anywhere, it is the important issue how a situation is resolved, and here finally the Hotel director was able to sort everything out.
  3. We were onboard the Infinity this spring and had booked stateroom 9097 in Aqua Class. I have enclosed some pictures of that room that was in a very bad condition. Dirty, stained carpet and sofa, dirty glasses, no decoration at all, Switches covered with stick residue….. the first answer to the complains was only…. sorry, we are sailing on full capacity. It took us 48 hours to find a solution, actually things only improved after directly reaching out to the Hotel director, as communication between involved staff at the customer service desk was almost non existent. It has been only due to the efforts of the Hotel Director, that we finally could enjoy the cruise and leave the ship forward looking to our next cruise in August. It is just a guess, but concerning the horrible condition of the stateroom 9097 we had the impression that this room was actually in the process of being renovated and should never have been offered to passengers, due to the sold out cabins it then was offered to us.
  4. We had booked the upgrade weeks ago during a 30% sale that came down to 11 Euros (including gratuity) per day for a 9 days cruise this August. Right now there is a 35% sale running, so I cancelled and rebooked, now it’s 10,07 Euros per day. It was the same with the upgrade from basic Wi-Fi to premium Wi-Fi that originally had a 25% sale and was on a 40% sale some days ago, 47,92 Euros instead of 62,82 Euros for one device might not sound a lot, but it’s the small things that add up 🙂
  5. The terms an condistions are oviously different form country to country. We are from Germany and can share the following information: We booked 2 "cuise later later" future cruise credits during our cruise on the Infinity in March 2024. The written confirmation in german we received via mail states, that the deposit will be refunded if we do not book within 6 monts. Here the relevant information is Nr. 3 "Verfall".
