have done 3 Azamara cruises...no comparison to O, when it comes to food and activities...but of course that is OHO....

SM or no SM, we have found our line of choice...and as long as what is most important to us, the food, stays the same we will look for ways to continue to sail on it.

If prices become outrageous, other lines will be outrageous too.

    So we may cruise less.

I’m going to cruise less often.

This isn't the article I read but that "guarantee" doesn't mean you can't get denied boarding right at the time of embarkation.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2023/11/30/royal-caribbean-passengers-denied-boarding/71749345007/

We were on a "guaranty" and I honestly kinda freaked out. Our TA appears to have status and got us confirmed. I'll never accept a guaranty again. All of our travel, cruise and other, involves our flying intl long and very long distances. Just my NEVER humble opinion.

PS: I can't find my post about this but I got a lot of grief about it .

This article is not about Oceania. Do you have any information relevant to cruising on Oceania?

    In Nautica’s Currents today.

I’m just back from Sirena, and the schedule in Currents was similar. I was in the solo group, led by a social hostess/performer, and she happened to mention that a male performer was very involved with the LGTBQIA+ group.

It's my understanding that you get "benefits" from a guaranteed cabin. You may pay more for the cabin.

Oceania does not charge more for a guarantee booking. The price will be the going rate being charged at that time.

Does anyone happen to know if Kasia & Boogie are still entertaining aboard any Regent ship?  If so, which ship are they currently on?  I have a couple of Regent tours upcoming and would love to know if they are on board.  Thanks

    I LOVE THEM!

I assume it's possible to get a full English at breakfast.  My favorite (minus the sausage) passed down to me from my Leicestershire grandpa. 🙂

Well, I “think” you can get the Full English at breakfast (what do I know!). My comment was about a dinner theme at TC…..

  7. I’m just back from an 18 day cruise on Sirena. On my previous Cruises on Oceania there always were frequent activities for solo (not single) travelers. Unfortunately on this most recent port-intensive cruise there were fewer solo events. There was one dinner planned on a sea day, but seas were rough and I missed it due to seasickness.

  8. At Terrace cafe, there are servers who will place your requested items on a plate for you. Very few items (can’t think of any, but there might be one or two) should be handled by guests. Sometimes the server is not right at the spot where you need assistance, so you just wait a minute to catch their eye, and then they will come help you.
When I walk into Terrace cafe, I look for a table where I’d like to sit and I “save” my spot by leaving some item on the table before going over to look over the food choices. I am hardly ever dissatisfied with the food choices. I think the “authentic English experience” was one. And, I skipped the Mexican offerings since I live in an area with an abundance of Mexican options…..everything else was great!

    Enjoy your cruise!

  9. I’m just off Sirena’s 10 August - 28 August Oslo to Southhampton cruise with stops in Kristiansand, Stavanger, Alesund, Hammerfest, Honningsvag, Alta and Tromso. Norway is amazing and I highly recommend the itinerary.

On another note, I thought the food was excellent (subjective I know).

  10. I am on board Sirena now and today the future cruise consultant told me that a preview of European and North American itineraries will be available for viewing on 11 September. Those itineraries will be open for bookings on 18 September.

    I hope this helps.

Hi, thank you in advance for any advice you can provide. I will be disembarking Oceania Sirena on 28 August and have flights booked out of Heathrow to Dallas, departing 13:05. My schedule is very tight at home, so it’s important that I not miss my flight. Can you recommend a good car service?  I can self-disembark as early as possible. The itinerary says that we arrive in Southampton at 6 AM.
    Thank you again!

I saw a recommendation for blackberrycars.com elsewhere on this forum, so I’ve sent a booking request. Thx!

  14. You mentioned that you have a certificate available. Was that a future cruise certificate that you purchased while on board? If so, then I believe you would be able to benefit from any future sales. I think there are a few carve outs with that statement, and some exceptions, but at least you could feel more confident booking early to get your cabin selection, and then later return to get a reduced price if your cruise goes on sale.

Be sure to work with a travel agent experienced with Oceania.
    Enjoy your cruise.!

  15. While on a 19-day Regent South America Antartica cruise, a son of the guest lecturers was onboard. My trivia group “adopted” him and appreciated his input. We were geezer Americans with little knowledge of many topics. I recall he knew which country won last year’s FIFA tournament, and he complemented our (limited) knowledge base.
Just an example of another shipboard activity that older kids can enjoy - Trivia!

If this is related to website maintenance, I will suggest to the representative that some of us are still working and the week-ends are when we deal with travel planning.

There you go, thinking logic should apply.

I doubt Corporate cares, since this issue has existed for years. Corporate probably thinks investments in IT are not “revenue enhancers” or whatever the lingo-speak is today.
