  1. I'm guessing most of these new venues will come with a fee.

In general cruises out of China fir chinese people are sborter than American/European/aussie cruises. So for everyone to get a chance to try these features I'm thinking they will cost.

Just as Royal have done with Quantum. Things in asia cost, rest of the world - free.

  2. Last 9 months I've spent 73 nights on cruise ships. Celebrity x 2, one on the then brand new Quantum of the seas and three times on NCL. Epic, breakaway and Sky.

Of the NCL ships I enjoyed the Sky the most. It felt like a real ship. Wrap around promenade, you could actually see the sky from the pool deck. Sure, slides are fun. But for how long?

I actually enjoyed the Sky so much I booked 35 night b2b next year on her sister, the Sun.

  3. Molecular Bar will be changing into something offering high end cocktails. Different menu.

Something will be happening to Cellar Masters, "an exciting step forward in a positive direction".

Where Bistro on 5 currently is, something Sushi orientated will be emerging.

All this was described as re-purposing within a budget.

Thank you so much for your live reports.

I will be on board the Solstice on the first cruise after the dry dock in Singapore in October.

My favourite venue on the S class is the Cellar Masters, so my question is; will it remain a wine bar, or transformed to something completely different?

Thank you once again and have a fantastic journey

  4. I was in the same cruise. I was really surprised that there were almost no lines in the bars. Ever. And I don't think I ever saw one person I would consider drunk.

And, as said above. Lot's of bars were used as reading places. Only the smoking bars on deck 8 could be somewhat busy. But I don't smoke, so no problems for me.

  5. Thanks for the info.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I'm going on the jan 17th cruise. This means I get more quantity but less quality. But i don't complain, now at least i can try some different starters on my Platinum and sdp dinners.

Guess they'll change the mdr menus the same day.

  6. Are you stating that there's a different Guest Contract for European travelers? Can you provide a link?

Our consumer rights in Europe are pretty great.

If I book a NCL Cruise in Sweden, it's the swedish consumer law that applies. The T&C doesn't really matter. It is what they say is included that shouod be, in brochures and online,, at the time of booking.

Like it or not. That is the reality.

  7. So I am on the Escape right now and you are WRONG. SDP provides a single app, entree, dessert. Not like the old UDP.

In fact, if you choose inexpensive items, the SDP can cost more than buying a la carte.

Thank you for your information. How about sides?

This is, by the way, not what they do advertise. It's difficult to plan an ncl cruise at the moment...
