  1. Ok, so I guess I am now done trying to "fix" this. I got a call form Princess this evening. It was from Guest Services. They said everything is correct and we got the $700 refund because it wasn't applied correctly the first time. They even threw in a free balcony deluxe breakfast for all of the issues. I assume we can schedule that when we get on the ship?
  2. Ya, after one more attempt last night via chat to get this corrected I am probably done unless I hear back from the email address I sent my information to. Well, that and pushing to get the $700 credit back to my card. I really thought the guy last night understood the issue and was going to get it fixed. He said he "refreshed" my Special Services on the Travel Summary. It did cause the free medallion accessory to show up and also something about crew appreciation, however now it says: "DND - Reverse Crew Appreciation Reduction". I have no clue what that means. I don't want the crew to get screwed out of their tip.
  3. Some more numbers to support what was discussed earlier in this thread. Total of room + plus + old premier upgrade = $7602 Total now that everything is weird with the new premier = $6902 ($700 difference, price of our original plus). Total if we remove Premier = $6482. This is $420 less than our current $6902 total, which is what the upgrade price should have been for the two premier purchase ($280 for "old" and $140 for "new". If we cancel Premier and get to the $6482 total and then add new Premier back it would be $7742. This is the number we originally expected when upgrading from old to new ($7602+$140). I have no idea how Princess did what they did and why nobody will take 5 minutes to figure it out. But, now I am wondering if it is worth it to upgrade back to Premier and whether Princess is worth it in general.
  4. Still waiting for a response back from the email address I sent the information to. If I haven't heard back by next week I am contemplating asking what our total would go to if we just dropped Premier (cancelling our dining reservations first) and then a few days later add Premier back.
  5. Will do. Timeline wise the only other 2 that work for us other than Princess are Holland and Norwegian. I appreciate all of the responses I received.
  6. I emailed last night. Plan on giving it the week and then making a decision. My CVP never responds so we did it via chat. That was a mistake.
  7. Yep.....and that accounts for the $700 credit since plus was $700 when we purchased our original package. Just wish somebody from Princess would / could comprehend what I tell them.
  8. Thanks. The pricing is in line with the other Alaska cruises that go through Glacier Bay at that time of year. I'm not worried about what we paid, just that we get what we originally paid for. If I don't hear back from the email address you provided within a couple of weeks and things don't look correct then we will likely cancel and re-book w/another cruise line.
  9. 100% agree. Thinking about it, and I don’t feel like pricing it out again right now, but I think the current total of the room plus premier would be $7462, which is $140 less that our $7602 price. So when the first person added premier the price was probably right. It was the second person fixing the missing items that messed things up. Nevermind. Current total would be $7412. I guess last weekend it could have been $7462 though.
  10. Alaska, Royal Princess, June 21, 2025 out of Seattle. MC cabin class.
  11. $7602 is what we paid for everything prior to the upgrade weirdness last weekend. Currently our class of room is $6150ish without any packages added on. With premier it would be $7400ish.
  12. Thank you. My wife was told via chat that things "should be fixed this week" with the web site. Goes along w/one of the umpteen chat people I corresponded with. He said the package should be "fixed" by the 14th.
  13. Thanks, we've made the dining reservations in the app. That part is working fine. Concern is things like Crew Appreciation under Payment on the website now allow me to pre-pay (before the "upgrade" it said included in package). Wi-Fi option in the app shows I would have to pay, before it showed included. Things like that.
  14. You'll see on the screenshot of the package it shows Premier and shows Crew Appreciation. You'll see the Travel Summary only has Premier specific items, nothing that was originally included in Plus is there (crew appreciation for one.....and things that get upgraded in Premier only say upgrade).
  15. It doesn't necessarily show the credit being applied, it just shows we paid $7602 (our total before the upgrade mess) and the new total.
  16. Thanks for the rundown. We did not get the $140 credit. It showed up on a Saturday and then the next day when the chat person "fixed" it it changed to $700.
  17. Sorry, I had combined things and had a wrong number on bullet 1. We'll try again: $7000 total initially -- $6300 for room and $700 for Princess Plus Immediately added old Princess Premier for an additional $280, so we are at $7280 total Upgraded to mini-suite -- $7602 total -- $6622 for the room, $700 Princess Plus, $280 for Princess Premier upgrade Upgraded to new Premier -- $7462 total -- no explanation given as to price difference (other than they credited $140 instead of charging us $140). Inquired about items missing from premier -- $6902 total -- appears they removed the $700 Princess Plus, which the math works out for the original "new" premier upgrade ($7602 - $700) ETA - we immediately priced out what the same cabin class would cost and that alone was higher than our total.
  18. Looking at what I wrote I see my math doesn't add up now. The original room must have been $6300 (not $6500), but still a $322 difference between original room and mini-suite.
  19. We tried both the app and web, both gave the pay in full message. At any rate, I guess I'm glad to hear that your Premier doesn't show everything either. For us, it's the combo of not showing everything and getting the $700 credit that gives me concern. I will say that my wife just chatted w/them and they did confirm to her that the website was having many issues displaying things correctly for the new Premier.
  20. No, we had no option to even book the excursions until we paid the cruise in full -- our names w/the radio buttons next to them were not there.
  21. Dealing straight through Princess. Original package price was $7280 ($6500 was for the room, $700 was for the $50 special on Plus and then $280 for the upgrade to the old Premier ) Upgraded to a Mini-Suite, price became $7602.00 Asked to upgrade to the new Premier. This was done within a minute and our total was suddenly $7462 ($140 credit). Asked them to look at it again since we were missing photos, prizes, and whatever else was unique to premier and suddenly the total was $6902 ($700 credit). This makes me think they simply removed the original Plus purchase (hence the $700 credit) and left the "upgrade" to Premier on the booking. Maybe I am overthinking things but I don't think upgrading my package should yield in that big of a credit to us. Hopefully that all makes sense.
  22. USA. Not sure why it was that way, but it said we could not book any excursions until paid in full. Once we paid in full it opened up booking for excursions. At any rate, that isn't the issue. The issue, if you want to call it that, is getting a $700 refund while upgrading to Premier. Something obviously was not done correctly.
  23. That is not what the app / website said. It specifically stated we could only book dining / excursions once the cruise was paid in full. Perhaps because it is our first cruise.
  24. It says -$700 (negative $700). It does show Premier a the package.
  25. Not yet. I did inquire about that part today and they said it would credit this week.
