This is all mildly confusing and bottom line, very helpful. We have been to the Cook Islands and Fiji, both idyllic in our summer. And I was at Club Med in Moorea back in the day, in April. For us I think it makes sense to wait for more pleasant weather.
You look adorable - and protected. We're thinking about the end of December so conditions should be similar. We're adventurous travelers and have been most of Central America (including Belize, but not Honduras) and the itinerary seemed right up our alley...but the malaria med rec is giving us second thoughts. Would not want to miss the cultural excursions.
Interested to hear if people took malarone or other meds on the Belize/Honduras expedition (in December)? Our travel doc says meds are recommended for the Bay Islands, but her info might not be up to date.
Thinking of Windstar in French Polynesia for December but we're concerned about rainy season warnings. Also, we are used to expedition cruises...how different is the vibe?
