  1. Hopefully when we retire we can wait for last minute specials and drive to the ports. Kind of tough to do that with kids. What to do? Look hard and often for deals. They are out there. Cruising's popularity is definitely on the rise and so far so is capacity. Unless things change drastically, the dirt cheap cruise will get even tougher to find. Bon Voyage!

  2. Karaoke is a poor excuse for entertainment. We are paying top dollar to cruise and nobody wants to hear their cruise companions trying to provide an evenings entertainment.

In most cases the everyday cruiser cannot belt out a tune.

Baloney, baloney, and more baloney. Of course that's just my opinion:rolleyes:.

  3. We had just been seated for dinner on the Dawn Princess when a group of 8 came in dressed in bathrobes and slippers with smiles from ear to ear. They were not asked to leave as they had the OK of the maitre'd. Turns out it was an anniversary celebration (bathrobe themed). They had a great time and most of the dining room got in the spirit of things and we all sang Happy Anniversary.

  4. Ummm. That wasn't my quote, Dick.

I must have confused him when I quoted you:). I see you're headed out on the Liberty soon. Just a tip: when most folks board, they head for the windjammer for a bite to eat. It's usually crowded. We instead head to the royal promenade, stake out a table at the pub, then DW heads to the Promenade Cafe for some snacks and I order the brewskies. Love those little croissant sandwiches! Then we sit and enjoy watching the rest of the cruisers as they board. Never crowded and always relaxing.

    Bon Voyage!

    Harry
