  1. Good afternoon everybody! Hubby and I are booked for a Alaskan Princess cruise in July 2020. I'm trying to find a decent hotel that won't break the bank. Planning on staying 1 Saturday night. I'm finding some decent deals online but then I have to factor in the transportation from Sea-Tac to hotel, hotel to pier and pier to Sea Tac. Trying to keep the hotel stay around $200(including taxes and fees)

Until this year I would have said I never had a noisy inside cabin - then we had a GTY forward inside cabin on Royal Princess directly above the back of the stage of the theater. C203

That darned drummer drove us mad. Boom Boom Boom for hours a day as the show was on or he practised.

It was all about the bass.

After a week we asked if we could move and they didn't even come to listen to the noise we reported as they already knew of the problem from previous passengers.

They moved us up a deck and it was so much better, the last thing our cabin steward said to us before we moved was  that no-one ever liked the cabin we had.

Sounds like they need to turn that stateroom into a storage room.

  3. We have the night before our Princess cruise booked at the Harbor Beach Inn. Just wondering if anybody has ever stayed there before. We will be getting in early afternoon the day before and will be looking for some place to eat and get some pop before leaving for the Royal the next day.

  4. I have always wanted to try one as we are huge Disney fans, but the costs are just too high! Also we are in our 60's and I think the amount of kids would be unnerving. Thanks for your review. (Off to Disney and Universal in February)

Hubby and I are both in our late 50's, with no children. We have only sailed Disney. Never really found the kids to be a problem as they were usually busy in the kids clubs. Ready to try something different now, so we have our first Princess cruise planned for this Dec. Celebrating my 60th birthday. :)

  5. Thanks for the post. I am in the opposite camp - only cruised Disney and going to try Princess. The more I read about Princess, the more I think I will like it more than Disney. I do consider myself to be a major Disney fan, but I get really tired of the music and all the shows being a Disney theme. And, it is very difficult to find good, healthy food when I am hungry.

Ditto! Have cruised Disney 3 times and only Disney. Have made a lot of very special friends, that we now consider family by cruising with Disney. But like the OP we've found that Disney has priced themselves out for us, so we are going to give Princess a shot. :)

  6. It was on a 10 day that the $49 was offered. It's also been more than once. Honestly, I'm out at $199, on the fence at $99 and in at $49. I see your strategy and thought the same. It's a risk of $50 or no pics. And sure I'm saving $100 by prepaying, but saving more with the deal...

And to those saying, well you're on vacation, yeah, but it's fun for me to get deals anyway.

    Thanks though.

    Ditto that!:)

  7. I know, considering on our 1st Disney cruise we only ate at our "scheduled" dining place, with our wait staff, for 1 meal. We ate at Palo one night had room service another night.

We leave for our 7 day on Sept. 2 and they want/suggest $25.00 per person for the head server for that week. And most likely we won't eat in the dining room every night on this trip either.
