  1. Our shuttle took us to the port on time. The porter we had the pleasure of dealing with was great and handled our luggage with care. He was very happy to receive a tip and directed us where to go. We got on the ship in no time...the lines were pretty short to our surprise. I believe we were on the ship by 12:15pm. Our rooms weren't ready yet so we headed over to the pasta bar for some lunch and then explored the ship.

We headed to the dining room first to check out our table which was located on the upper level in the Sapphire Dinning Room.

  2. Hello Everyone! We had a fantastic time on the Breeze sailing January 19-27th. from Miami to St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau. I wasn't going to write a review this time as I don't have a lot of spare time right now but if you bare with me, I will slowly get through it. Not all, but a lot of my photos you will see have been edited....

We traveled with both of our children and my in laws. We drove from the Toronto area into Buffalo and flew from there. We had a stop over in New York with about 1 hour to kill before the next flight. What we all loved about the La Guardia airport is the iPad stations they had everywhere. What a great way to kill time! Both flights to Miami were a BREEZE!! No major problems, although we were disappointed with Delta.....more to come on that towards the end of the review.

We're finally in Miami, all we want to do is get to our hotel but there is no shuttle to be seen. That airport was a mess! We waited for 45 mins...and gave up! Called on a taxi and off we went. We stayed at the Best Western Premier Miami close to the airport. They charged us $10pp to take the shuttle into port the next morning. We originally thought of taking a van taxi but we had so much stuff and with the 6 of us it would be really tight. So we had our shuttle scheduled for 11am. That evening we went off to South Beach. The kids were dying to go there and we wanted to take a walk down Lincoln Rd. We were excited to have Pizza from Rustica....hubby and I had been here in 2009 so we knew what was waiting for us. lol The kids were very happy to take a short walk on the beach. We shopped a little and headed back to our hotel. Everyone was tired from our loooong day, and we knew we had to be well rested for our exciting day tomorrow!!!

Here's our view from the hotel and a couple of photos from Lincoln Rd. Loved the souvenir shop... kids had a field day!

  3. Phew! Finally done reading...that only took a few hours!! LOL But once I started, I couldn't stop. Today was my kids first day back at school and I've done nothing but read reviews. haha

Not sure if you remember me but we spoke a little on my thread (Dream Review) a few months back. I have to tell you, even though mostly everyone else has already said it, that you take the most BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING, GORGEOUS photos!!!! WOW!

I can't wait for my kids to come home from school to show them the Dolphin and Monkey pics. My daughter absolutely LOVES monkeys. She would be in heaven if she could ever hold one. I especially love the pic where the monkey sticks his tongue out. How cute!! When you have a moment, please let me know how you liked the Monkey Jungle in Miami? We're hoping to do one week in Disney and one week cruise next year leaving from Miami. I was thinking the Monkey Jungle would be fun for the kids. :)

I've really enjoyed your whole review... for your first time, you're doing really great IMO. I hope that I'm the one who you speak of that inspired you to do a review. hahaha ;)

I will definitely be getting the book you recommended. I have this great camera and have no idea how to use most of the features. Really wish I took photography back in school. The black border tip is great too... never thought of that but you are so right! I see the photos in a whole different way.

I am looking forward to seeing the rest.

Happy New Year to you and Latanya! :)

  4. They not only have robes in the cabins for adults but our steward brought a couple for our kids with Funship Freddy embroidered on it. I think he said it was $25 each if we wanted to buy them.

We sailed Feb 12-19th. We didn't have Baby Butch... we had Melody and she was great. Sounds like we got the better end of the deal because nothing pinged us off on the head. LOL

If you're taking your kids, one thing that I absolutely loved about Camp Carnival is that every time we dropped our kids off, the first thing they'd ask them to do is wash their hands. Don't know why that surprised me but I was very impressed.

We saw 3 laser shows in total. The one I liked best was the night of the deck party. But to be honest, they're not that amazing. They look much better in photos than in person. I wish I could figure out how to post some on here.

Oh, Oh, Oh.... the ship is broken up into 3 colored teams. Deck 1 & 2 were red, decks 3-6 were white, decks 7 and up were blue. Make sure you bring a shirt with your deck color, they will be asking you to wear it to the deck party which was A LOT of fun!! My 10 year old daughter partied till almost 1am and will never forget that night. Especially when Butch presented her with a medal for doing the best twist during the pre-deck party.

The Cove balconies rule!! Loved being so close to the water and the privacy. :)

  5. I believe there are a number of ways to become persona no grata with a cruiseline...For instance, people who are put off the ship in a port of call for any number of behavioral infractions. Remember the person on CC a few years ago who always complained to her cruiseline about things on her cruises, and repeatedly got refunds and future credits? And bragged about it here? She got a letter disinviting her to book with them in the future, and when she tried to book with their sister line, they wouldn't take her booking. EM

LOL...my hubby remembers that situation very clearly! If you're going to do something like that be smart enough not to brag about it!!

  6. Wow! This is a great thread which I accidentally found by doing a google search for cruise songs! I can't believe how old it is but it's great that's it's still somewhat going! LOL Thanks to everyone for all the song suggestions....I found a lot of songs that I wouldn't have thought about.

One of my favourites that wasn't mentioned in this thread is CARNIVAL By Chipz!!

Gotta download that one....you'll love it!! Below are the lyrics!!
