Hello Everyone,
looking to book the Sun to Cuba just had a questions about the beverage package. Sorry if it’s been asked before. The ship come with the open bar and then you can upgrade to the better package. What does the better package have that the other open bar doesn’t have? Thanks in advance!

Hello Everyone, I am definitly going on on either the Escape or summit to Bermuda same date same itinerary. What I want to know is what is the better ship. So basically this question is for those that have sailed on both. I know the Escape is a lot bigger and has more bars and restaurants but I am also taking my inlaws into consideration who are traveling with us. My wife and I are in our late 20s early 30s and sailed NCL many times and love it. We never sailed on celebrity. My in-laws never cruises before and are in their 60’s. My wife and I as well as my in-laws love to have a great time and love places where we can relax and have great drinks and company and have good entertainment. What do you think they will like better? What do you guys recommend. The Escape is a few hundred dollars more. Both include the beverage package ( on celebrity it’s the classic beverage package) thanks in advance for all your help!

Hello everyone I been on many cruises but I never cruised celebrity. My question is when you get the classic beverage package as a perk do you have to pay gratuities or are the gratuities already included? Also it says up to a $9 drink then list certain liquors and beers. Are there beers over $9? if there are other beers under $9 that are not on that list can I get those? Thanks for the info and sorry if this has been asked before

Hello welcome to cruisecritic and cruising! I recently got off the Sensation and had a great time. I’ve been on a lot of ships big and small. This is one of the smaller ones but it was good. Had a great time for a long weekend. It’s really what you make of it. I go on vacation to have a great time and try not to let the little things bother me. Enjoy the Sensation, she’s still a great ship! Check out my review with pictures.

This happens in NY too with carnival. Cheers doesn’t start until day 2... Norwegian and Royal start theirs right when you board the ship so I don’t know why carnival can’t do this as well

Also, FYI, you can use more than 5 gift cards at a time. I just used 6 of them to purchase Cheers! for my upcoming cruise.
Great thank you!

You can use one gift card or you can use 5 gift cards. You can do one transaction or you can do multiple transactions. If you use the gift cards to buy Cheers! or excursions, those have to be paid in full when you buy them, so you can use several gift cards to pay the amount due. Using a gift card is just like using cash. I use gift cards for every part of my cruise including the initial deposit, paying for the cruise, buying Cheers!, buying excursions, internet plans, whatever.
Great! Thanks!!

One more question- I read somewhere that you can use 5 gift cards is that 5 gift cards in 1 transaction or can I get a lot and use them in multiple transactions. Thanks in advance!

Make sure you're logged in.
Also go to "redeem my points" and see if they're there (assuming you're logged in). It sometimes doesn't refresh your points in real-time at the top.
Tried that still not working... hmm maybe it’s because I’m doing it from my phone?

Soo trying to rack up some points - I am taking quizzes but the points are not going onto my account. This ever happen to anyone? Anyone know how to resolve it? Thanks!

Great review! Thank you, glad you enjoyed your quick voyage on this old ship. We are like you in that we don't sweat the small stuff and agree with you on all points in your review. Looks like you had a good time in the ports as well.
It's nice to see a review that realistically tells what's less than perfect but doesn't exaggerate that into everything being terrible. So helpful for others to then decide if she's the right ship for them. Duct tape is obviously tacky and certain 5 * travelers would simply not enjoy Sensation. But for others the value is worth the occasional hiccup.
Agreed - if the price was right I would definitely sail on her again

Day 4 - Sea Day
Woke up went to restaurant for breakfast which was pretty good ordered an omelette with spinach and feta one of my favorites came out good and tastes great. The rest of the day went to the pool and enjoyed our cheers package. Went to dinner which was pretty good then packed up our bags and left them outside for the crew to take as it was he last night of the cruise.
Overall this cruise was pretty good. I’m on vacation I don’t like to complain and I try not to let the little things bother me. There were a few hiccups here and there (food the second night) and our room having a hole in the bathroom floor that was covered with ductape LoL - the Sensation is still a great ship for a quick getaway. It doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a new ship but it can still hang and anyone that goes on her can have a fun time. I’ll post some more pics of whatever I have left of my camera that I didn’t post. Thanks for reading! Time to book the next one!
Our Stateroom U118 Mid Ship Oceanview
hole is floor covered with blue ductape
Dirty shower curtain
Band was great! Look at all those people!
Cassidy Rae was great in the touch of class piano bar

Day 3 - Cozumel Mexico
Cozumel Mexico was very nice and definitly built up from the last time I was there 10 years ago. We did the Carnival excursion La Casa En La Playa (house on the beach) which was very nice and included transportation to and from the house, all drinks, lunch, the Beach and snorkeling. We had a great day here and when they took us back did a little shopping in port then went back to ship- see pics below

Booking Dinners together with two different bookings
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
Hello Everyone,
Going on cruise with my in-laws in May. I want to book us all for dinner together. We both have the dining package but have different booking reservation numbers. How do I make a reservation for 4 and all be able to use our dining packages? Can I do it online? Thanks in advance!
