  2. Without an idea of your interests our choices would not be of much use to you. Our list would differ greatly from ernies as well...

I understand your thinking, but we DO want to know others' opinions of these islands. After getting several responses, we plan to average out each island's ranking, then plan accordingly. Since we'ver never been to any of these ourselves, any info will be helpful in making our decision!!

  3. We are trying to narrow down our cruise choice for Jan 2015. We want to go places we've never been. Would you be so kind as to rank these in order of your personal preference so that we can get an idea of which itinerary we should select? Here they are:

    Antigua

    Barbados

    Curacao

    Dominica

    Martinique

    St. Croix

    St. Kitts

    St. Lucia

    Tortola

Thanks in advance to all for your input!!

  4. Those back from a Med cruise, which side of the ship is best for this itenerary? Would aft be better, so as to hopefully see things on both sides? Really would appreciate any help on this.

  5. My sister and I had just boarded the Fascination in Puerto Rico for a Southern Caribbean cruise back in 1997. We made our way up to the Lido Deck for the Welcome Aboard Party. We went out and looked over the balcony to see what we could see there in PR. We looked down at the stone walls below the ship and, I kid you not, there was a naked man walking along the top of the walls. He couldn't be seen from the ground level, only people up on the ship could see, so I know he did it for our "viewing pleasure"! For some reason we had left our cameras in the cabin, never dreaming we'd be having such sights to photograph before we ever left the port!!!

  6. Actually dining with the Captain!! Sailed the Big Red Boat in 1989 and my friend and I were invited along with 4 married couples to dine with the Captain, and we were each seated on either side of the Captain and had the absolute best time ever!! Of all my cruises, this still stands out as the most memorable event!!

I also miss the tours of the galley and the bridge. I understand this is because of security concerns, but I still miss them!
