So, with X now doing the move up program, I’m assuming that normal no cost upgrades are now a thing of the past? Anyone received an upgrade without having to bid on it?
-
Does the planner also include any OBC from your TA?
-
So, comment is out of context, but now thinking with X doing the move up program that it pretty much alleviates the chances of just a normal upgrade? Has anyone had an upgrade in the past without having to bid on it?

Topic may have been asked before: First time doing a B2B. How are the Covid tests handled before the second leg?
-
Sorry to hear that LACruiser has tested positive and cannot continue on with their B2B. It seems as though Princess is taking good care of them.
We are sailing on the April 2 cruise and was hoping that someone onboard will continue with the “live” feed to keep us future cruisers updated with what’s happening on the ship.

You don’t need to buy the wifi package just to use the app? ie, make show reservations etc?
-
Is it ok to bring soda on board an RC ship, preferably Harmony?
-
Hi. Are there other places to park besides the terminal lot, like a Park n Go? Or, any other outside lots with shuttle service to the port?
-
How is this new protocol any different than what was previously enacted?

I live in St Augustine and have used CVS on Ponce De Leon Blvd twice with no issues. You should be able to book out 2 weeks in advance.
That’s what we’re hoping. Thx for the info. I believe I know exactly where that store is. We visit St. Augustine at least once a year, or sometimes more, so we’re familiar with the area.

Keep checking every morning. Even though they are out of stock today doesn't mean they will be tomorrow or even a few days from now. You still have time, but I would also plan on scheduling an appointment through CVS or Walgreens. They open up dates 2 weeks ahead so be sure to do it as soon as your date becomes available.
Haven’t had any luck here with CVS or Walgreens. Both are booked constantly or possibly out of the rapid tests where we live. We did use CVS for a cruise in September at no charge, but all hell has broken loose since then. Since we drive to the port, we are hoping to use the free government tests before we leave (provided they arrive in time) just to verify we’re good to go, then book a rapid test at CVS in either Jacksonville or St. Augustine on our way down. We could use some of the urgent care facilities here, but they charge you an arm and a leg to get the test.

No, because they are not proctored by someone over the computer who can attest to the results, they are self administered.
That’s what I figured. Just wasn’t sure of the difference between these and the ones sold by Royal for $69.
-
So, I see where the free at home Covid tests from the US government are now available for ordering. I’m wondering if these are valid tests for embarkation?

Spoke 5 minutes too soon. Over 1% again. No St Thomas. Official announcement.
Unfortunate. So, what is your remaining itinerary?
-
If I may ask, what was your original itinerary? Seems as though you’re missing a lot of port stops. We sail on Harmony next month and was looking forward to seeing San Juan since it’s been years since our last visit. St. Thomas, no biggie. Was just there in September on CEL.
First time on Harmony. Looking forward to being on an oasis class ship.

It depends on what room you have and how many open rooms they have in each category, I think.
I have gotten repeated offers with lower numbers on cruises with low census numbers. If you're already on the cruise anyway and they can get extra money out of you for upgrading, it's in their best interest -- even an extra $50pp is pure profit for them.
You don't need to wait for an email, though -- just go to the upgrade page periodically to see what they're offering.Where do you go to the upgrade page?

How long before your cruise?? Just a couple days ago we were able to enter all check in info for our cruise for the end of January. Maybe your check in time is not available yet!!
That may be the case. Cruise isn’t until February. I’m just used to being able to do all my updates right away as soon as the cruise is booked. It may be different with Royal. And, may also be that a cabin hasn’t been assigned.

Hi all. Royal newbie. Sail mostly with Celebrity.
Booked a cruise on Harmony. It’s listed as a guaranty cabin, with cabin # not listed yet. However, I am unable to update info such as contact info, passport info, credit card info, emergency contact info, etc. Plus, wanting to check on a possible move up availability. Site will allow me to make any onboard purchases such as beverage pkg, dining pkg, shore excursions, etc.Any idea why I cannot make updates to my reservation?

I totally agree with Scott4020 that Princess should give the option of canceling without penalty if they are going to adopt certain rules as the pandemic changes. When booking, there is no indication of what will transpire in the future.

So, we have a 14 day on Princess in April 2022. Final payment due in January. Mask protocol extended to February. I would rather not sail having to wear a mask completely indoors. (Just returned from a 12 day on Celebrity. No masks required)
I’m just wondering if Princess will permit us to cancel after final payment without penalties if they extend the mask mandate beyond February? I’ve tried to reach a Princess agent to no avail.

We love anytime dining. It's on a different level (deck) than fixed dining.
Just show up, and if they have a table for 2, the maitre'd will seat you.
If not, he/she will ask if you are willing to share.
Your other options are Oceanview Cafe or a specialty restaurant.
Barbara 🙂Thx Barbara. We have sailed Celebrity many times and have enjoyed the anytime dining and always sat at a table with others. It’s a great way to meet fellow passengers. I was just curious if this method of dining was still practiced in lieu of the pandemic, or if you were seated at a table with whomever was in your party.
-
Aring75, not sure if this is a duplicate question, but curious how anytime dining is being addressed. Are they placing 6-8 at a table, or just seating individual parties based on their party amount?

When hubby and I are sailing alone, without friends, we don’t have a problem doing SD without reservations. We enjoy sitting at a table with new people every night. It gives us a chance to interact and talk with new people from different walks of life. What a good learning experience. Plus, not knowing what our day will bring and having to possibly rush to get to our “reserved” time after possibly having a busy day. Plus, there are times where we may not be too interested in either getting dressed for dining room etiquette or possibly not too keen on what they’re serving that evening. You’re on vacation. Go with the flow I always say.
