Hi Cote d'or, have you booked the Trans-Atlantic.
Gitte
Yes we did, did you ?
-
No I did not ask her. Great hostess though.
She's simply the best. ;)
-
Donna from the UK is the CC hostess on the Silhouette, very nice hostess.
Do you know if she will stay on for the crossing ?
-
I'm sailing on Silhouette Sunday and am perplexed. I'm trying to be in training for the cruise. Do I starve myself to be ready to eat myself silly? Or do I pig out for the next few days to be in shape for all I want to eat? I'm not even going to think about how to get ready for the premium beverage card.:p
The best thing you can practice now, to get used to your days onboard : have a snack and a drink, while you're thinking about what you're going to eat/drink/order next. ;)
-
Good to know! Thanks for the info and further confirmation. We've booked 1241 and are counting down the days. :)
We stayed in 1241 on Reflection : very quiet and peaceful.;) Enjoy your cruise.

I received unsolicited Confirmation Invoices for all three of the cruise I have booked directly with Celebrity [in the UK] this week. The only change on each of these is the addition of code "AI CELPRAL" with a zero value. Does anyone have any idea what these codes mean, please?
Did you book it with a promo ? Then my guess would be :
AI : All Inclusive
CEL : Celebrity
PR : Premium
AL : Alcohol ?

I justof an aqua suite, and it had a jetted tub in it, as does the Sky Suite. So this is already a commonality between the 2. It did also have the AquaClass shower panel, which SkySuites do not have.
We have only experienced aqua suite, not sky suite, but as far as I know, sky suites don't have jets in the tub (see videos).
-
Honestly the only thing that differentiated AquaSuite from Sky suite was the BLU access, and the shower panel, among a few other immaterial amenity offerings.
Don't forget the jetted bathtub. ;)

Pretty neat photo and info. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure !

In 2008, Celebrity was already testing different kinds of grass on the Galaxy. I took these pictures in August of that year.

Thanks so much for posting. We have done quite a few Celebrity cruises and to be honest have never seen anything before about additional Captain Club points. I will definitely pay closer attention to the 123 deals.
You're welcome. The first time we received extra points, we didn't know this promotion was running. We were happily surprised to see a higher amount of Club points than expected.:)
-
I just did a little test and checked some prices, after I ticked the 55+ box. Prices were doubled and then I saw why : the number of adult travelers was put on 1, instead of the standard 2.
-
What would be nice would be nice would be the option of a price for an outside cabin and above without the 123 offer built in.
I agree that would be a nice option.
-
We booked our Panama Canal cruise on board under this promotion and now I cannot find the documentation on the 50 CC points. Do you have a PDF or link you could post?
Thanks
Maybe this is what you are looking for ? :

What type of Vodka will be waiting for me when I arrive if I don't swap it out?
Mike
Absolut.

While were on the topic of what is allowed,my eleven grandchildren are incredibly talented.
Four are synchronized swimmers, two are college scholarship fencers, four are tag team wrestlers, and one is a lion tamer. I'm sure no one would mind if they practiced their arts on board, would they ?
The wrestlers are allowed to go the pool deck early in the morning, and use the chair hogs as their training dummies.

Nope, not necessarily true that champagne is more expensive. Here is a champagne from the Champagne region of France that costs $29.99 per bottle, and a sparkling wine from the North Coast region of California that costs $99.99. Not all champagnes are better than all sparkling wines. I'm not a wine snob so I might not even notice the difference these two, regardless of the price.
I didn't say that all champagnes are better than all sparkling wines, and of course there are also expensive sparkling wines, but in general, if you look at the average prices of sparkling wines and real Champagne, the difference is huge.
Apart from that, It's always a nice touch from Celebrity to offer a welcome drink when boarding the ship, and we still enjoy it, time after time. ;)
-
We did a sparkling wine/champagne seminar on Constellation a few years back and we found out - by tasting- there is a HUGE difference between the cheap stuff and the good stuff:)
Oh yes, there is indeed ! "Huge" is even an understatement.;)
-
Whatever:rolleyes: It is a nice touch whether it is sparkling wine or not!:D! I sure can't tell the difference anyway:eek:
To begin, the difference is about 8 times the price. :D

Apart from our first cruise, which we booked via German online agency, we have always booked via a large US online agency - by phoning them. About 8 cruises so far with no problems at all, just larger benefits and of course good exchange rate.
We tried via US Celebrity once, but this was too complicated ; the Captains Club had to switch us to International as they could not use our European adres in their system, then question was why not book with Celebrity Europe, and would have to check which promotions/benefits might (not) apply, etc. etc.
Might have worked, but after 1 hour being switched forth and back, told them to forget it and went back to our US TA, who had no problems booking us at US conditions.
Hi Michidoeme, it would be interesting to know about your experience with your online agency in the US. These boards don't allow PM, but you can email me at : cotedor66 (at) gmail (dot) com. I would appreciate !
-
An agent in the UK is offering 1234Go! and you can get all 4 perks for European sailings, the extra one being free wifi though it says there are terms and conditions. Aren't there always! However, their cabin prices are so much more expensive than booking with a US agent it still wouldn't be a good offer.
Denise
Aaah yes, the inevitable "terms & conditions"... who could live without them ! :D
-
Good idea! We're from Belgium too and always book with a US agent, much better deal. The agent always adds a really nice OBC himself too.
Feel free to PM for details :-)
Hi, WS80. If you (or others) want to drop me an email, you can do that at :
cotedor66 at gmail dot com
I already know some big US online agencies, but it's always interesting to read others experiences. ;)

Like I said before : there a first time for everything, so the time has come for us to book in the USA. ;)

The country selection only updates the currency. The Captain's Club area is always the same. And always read the fine print :)
The country selection not only updates the currency, but also the prices per country. Same cruise, different prices in Germany, Belgium, France, etc...
Oh, I did read the fine prints in the Captain's Club area about the 123Go !, and couldn't find anything that could exclude other countries. ;)
Fact is that in the past we booked many cruises with this German agency and we always received 2 perks for European sailings when there was a 123go promotion. This is the first time we would only get one.
