  1. I'm in the same situation. I can't stand for an extended period or walk excessively at times. I have a scooter but it's too much of a hassle to fly with it.

The time we cruised with my parents, they saw he had a walker and brought over a wheelchair and had him sit in and and we boarded together without going up the ramp.

    We did not request it.

Testing fully vaccinated passengers is excessive.  Most public venues are moving to show proof of vaccination or a negative test if you are unvaccinated.  Testing everyone is not a sustainable protocol.

Everything else is getting back to normal. The cruise lines need to get this changed. Vaccinated airline passengers are now allowed from some parts of Europe.

  3. I wanted to book a certain shore excursion which has a meal. The cruise planner will not let me book it since I've already booked my dining. You use to be able to change your dining times in event something like this happens but no more. I tried to and now my wife has dining times but mine are gone and RCI says they can't put them back since the slot is filed. I'm just going to show up with her since all the tables are set up for 2 but I still can't take my excursion.

  4. Booked excursions on cruise planner yesterday while they are having a sale. When I tried to book one it said it conflicted with my my time dining hours and wouldn't let me book. I went on cruise planner and canceled my time dining for that day but it would't let me council my wife's so I couldn't book the excursion. When I tried to rebook my time dining it would't let me at first but when it finally did it gave me a different hour and said mine wasn't available so my wife and I have different times. Called RCI but no help so far. They seemed confused.

After you're infected with COVID the virus takes a while to replicate enough for there to be enough virus to register a positive test result.  The more days before a cruise you are tested, less likely you are to test positive even if you're already infected.

So let's say you got infected 4 days before your cruise.  Getting tested 3 vs. 2 days before the cruise could be the difference between the virus having replicated enough to test negative vs. positive.

I hadCovid last November with the contact being my granddaughter. I was swabbed twice and it took 5 days for me to check positive so what good does 2 or 3 days out do.

    Just the opposite.

where people took the 125% for cruise planner purchases they could only use that to apply it as OBC for a different sailing.  The cruise planner credit could not be used to book a new cruise. I have done dozens of these for clients and myself.

This is a large agency I'm dealing with and evidently they don't have it straight. Can the TA apply the planner credit to your reservation or do I need to contact RCI who will tell me to call the TA?
