Just curious did anyone else catch a case of Norovirus. My brother, sister-in-law and I ended up with cases the night before disembarkation?
Also sorry for not getting a slot pull going but I guess the best way to get a hold of people is before sailing. DUH
My husband and I came down with some sort of stomach/intestinal malady late Saturday. Didn't feel terrible, so not sure if it was Noro. Glad we had no problems on cruise.

Just debarked on May 4th. No 5% charge for transfers to slot machine, but total transfers were not more than OBC balance. At the Casino desk, they said it would be a 5% charge to get money (charge to credit card on file) to play slots (no mention of OBC).

We were in cabin 6135 on the Ascent in January. Not sure if the placement is the same on the Edge, but here are a few pictures. Between the large overhang and the lifeboats below, I probably wouldn't book this room again. If you are primarily interested in a larger room, it does fit that bill.

Yes on Ascent 7-day in January. No on Summit 5-day in February.

No! Check out my post #30.
Just wondering if you were refunded the two $99 deposits?

We have also experienced times where mistakes were made and we were charged for items we did not use and had to get an adjustment from GS. Just was better for us to just not have it in the stateroom. In fact on one occasion the first thing the attendant asked was if we intended to use the items and would we prefer if he removed them. Just our experience.
We have been on two cruises this year -- one in January and one in February. On both cruises, we were charged for items in the mini-bar which only appeared on our statement after returning home. $10.16 in one instance and $83.56 in the second. We NEVER use mini-bar items. I let the first one slide, but I called Celebrity about the $83. They said I would receive a credit to my CC -- in 30 to 60 business days!!
I will definitely have them remove all items for our next cruise in April.

We were in 6135 on the Ascent in January. "Snap, Crackle, Pop" was very annoying during the day, but made it very hard to sleep at night. After second night of limited sleep (hard mattress was also responsible), we went to Guest Relations. GR said they would send someone to look into the problem. To our extreme surprise, the noise was gone -- totally gone! I recommend going to GR with your complaint.

Log-in to the X website and go to your current reservation. There should be a link on the lower right-hand side saying "View and Print your Documents." (The luggage tag is at the end of your cruise document.).
Alternatively, you can click on "Manage my Reservation", "Before You Board", and you will see a link to print your luggage tags.

It looks like you can pre-purchase bottled water now. You can purchase through the website's "Drink Packages" link. Twelve bottles of Agua Panna (doesn't say what size) is $33.99 (regular price is $43.99).

I am so glad to see this being addressed. We were on the Ascent earlier this month. The mattress was very hard. I mentioned to the cabin steward and requested a topper. Later that day I noticed that he had placed a thin mattress cover on the bed. Still very hard. After two nights of tossing and turning most of the night, I mentioned to Guest Relations. That night there was a 1" topper on the bed. Still hard, but at least I could sleep.
I've been on 30+ cruises, mostly on Celebrity, and have found this issue on my last couple of cruises. If Celebrity is reading, they NEED to provide toppers when requested. At 3 in the morning I found myself asking why I was spending hundreds of $$s a day when I couldn't get a decent nights sleep!

We are also booked on this cruise I suggest anyone else booked to do a price check to see if it's lower. I have been checking the price a few times a week and I have twice had our room drop in price. We have knocked off almost $1,000 since we booked this in November last year.
I am hoping that because the Summit is a smaller ship that we won't have any problems going thru the locks.
Our cruise had a drop of $1800 (net)!

We were on the Jan 14 - 21 cruise on the Ascent. On the last sea day, there was a seafood buffet. They had heaps of boiled shrimp, crawfish and ceviche in coconut "cups". I did not see any other seafood, but I did not look through all of the offerings. It was supposed to open at noon, but the ropes were pulled around 11:45 am.

We did Eden and Fine Cut on our recent cruise on Ascent. Although expensive (I believe, $80 pp (20% discount first night)), we really enjoyed Eden. Service, ambiance and food were excellent.
We were disappointed in Fine Cut ($65 pp, I think). I ordered a Tomahawk ribeye medium-rare. The steak came out medium-medium well (less than 1" thick). Was replaced with rare -. I didn't want to send back again, so I just ate around the most raw parts. DH's bone-in filet was tasty but unevenly cooked. Decor was great, service okay - not worth the money in our opinion.

BTW - the tipping percentage for individual drinks is now 20%. It is including on the slip they give you to sign.

We (Elite +) were just on the Ascent and went mostly to Sunset Bar for HH. All of the drinks we ordered during HH were "free." We did not order top-shelf liquor, but drinks such as Gin/Tonic, Pina Colada, Mojito, Dirty Martini...were all no charge.
-
Thanks for the tip! Our Panama Canal cruise was just reduced by $2000 - lost $200 in OBC. We didn't have AI so no loss there. Gotta love CC!

I am Elite+ and traveling with my DH (same cabin). Will he get Happy Hour drinks as well? One of the few times we are cruising without a drink package.

Well there are relatives I have not been in touch with somewhere around Middleton, OH. My mother’s youngest sister, her husband, and their children lived there.
Born in New Orleans -- Cincinnati transplant since 1973. Still love my grits, though!

I used Blackberry in September from LHR to Dover and Dover to London Hotels. They were very easy to work with, communication was great and they were on time. I definitely recommend them. We were a group of 5 so it made sense financially, maybe not so much for a smaller group.
Thank you. I think I will use them for a return trip. They were much more reasonable for a group than the cruise line. Bus shuttle to the airport.

Been on all X ships except Apex. We love the Sunset Bar and sometimes make our choice based on it! Favorites are Beyond, Ascent and Reflection.
