The internet was slow, like having dial-up

We are doing the TA from Rome in a few weeks and wanted to know if there is really a dvd player in the suite. Seven days at sea can be a tad boring I expect.
Thanks for your help.

I was wondering, if I purchase several bottles of wine off their site and have them delivered at dinner, do I have to pay a corkage fee?
Thanks for your input.

How do you handle a VAT refund on a transatlantic cruise?
Thanks for the input.

Can you do luggage valet when returning to Ft Lauderdale on a transatlantic cruise?

Hi Zactack, I have done the Summit several times. The cruise in question specifically. The Summit was great every time. The ports of call are nice as well. We usually do a CC, Aqua or Small suite, depending on the price and have always been happy. I was following your previous post of your Constellation, to bad you did not finish it, it was a good read. Believe me many reviews are not. :p Hopefully we will like the Connie, we are doing the transatlantic this November. We like the seven days at sea. A week in Rome and Naples before, Pompeii is on the bucket list. One more aspect is that sailing from New Jersey is a great sail away, nice dramatic exit. Be sure to write a cruise review.
Have fun and a happy birthday.

I go to my profile, review it, could be something silly like a miss spelled word or number. In my case my suffix on my last name was on my club portion but not my reservation. If I edit and update my profile I can access my celebrity. However I have to do it every time as my updates do not get added.

Me and the other half just want a nice quick cruise. He is 1 (one) point shy of his next level on the Captains club. I have 20 plus cruises on Celeberity already.

Have been looking for the final installments. Well written and was thinking of doing this cruise as well.

Can you use a Celebrity open passage to book a RCI cruise?

I was on the Dec 2 sailing of the Equinox. When packing to leave I took my wallet out of the safe and told my partner to take my DL and CC out of my seapass holder and put them in my wallet. That was the last I ever saw of that wallet. I try not to blame my other half, as he had a double brain tumor ( now under control) several years ago. He has a poor memory, and I have to keep a sharp eye on his finances. I called Celebrity three times to check lost and found, they said they had the cabin searched. Alas, no wallet. I had the CC's changed and had to get all the rest replaced. As far as I can tell no one used any cards. But I imagine my SS card would be handy for someone. Oh well next time leave all but a few CC at home.

I experienced the same problem. A week after the cruise the person who picked up my luggage called. He asked me if I wanted him to get rid of it so I could collect $. I told him no thanks I had several tailored suits in my bag. Two weeks later it finally showed up.

on the Dec 1 sailing. I did get the impression we were the only two onboard to get the package.

I have never tried the buffet at night I will have to try it. I have done lunch but try to stick with salad and light fare. I hear ya on the tilapia (sp?) :p Sounds like your BF is like us. We like to dine specialty restaurants for those nights to avoid formal nights. Avoid taking two steamer trunks instead of the one if you know what I mean. How did you find the drinks package?

I was just wondering what you did for dinner each night? The buffet or specialty dining. Will be on Equinox next week so appreciate your review.

I totally agree with you. I am also on the same cruise. It has been like pulling chicken teeth to book anything on their site. I did manage to book everything I wanted but it took over a month to do so. You can bet your last dollar I will have every invoice, receipt and credit card statement on hand in case what I purchased does not show up. I have heard way to many stories here.
See you on the cruise

and its pretty good. The steak is pretty good and love the tuna salad. Desserts are pretty good as well. Do a search on this site and you should be able to find the menu.

I booked my up coming cruise over a year ago, the same room now is going for $ 550 more per person. It is less than 45 days out and it has gone UP not down. I seems that dates may be a factor but who knows.

If the global economy slows, people will be reluctant to splurge on vacation. So it could be a ripple effect. The Credit Suisse people are predicting another bubble.... things that make you go hmmmmmmmm....

Thanks for the info Lsimon. :)
