I hope someone replies. We will be on the Dawn in one week!

We are on the Dawn now. Already day 6 of our 14 day repositioning cruise and it is SO nice to realize we don't have to think about packing tomorrow.

 

Today's soft serve choices at Topsider Bar next to pool are banana, vanilla and rocky road. Toppings are butterscotch or chocolate. Multi colored sprinkles or graham cracker sprinkles.

 

We are loving this cruise. So nice that sound volume in theater, lounges and even pool deck is much more comfortable level than some recent NCL cruises.

 

We bought the soda package. No problem getting service. Staterooms are fully booked but there are only around 20 kids on ship so not crowded at all.

Relaxation point: Take the forward elevators to deck 13 and go outside, either port or starboard, depending on time of day and whether you want sun or shade. Look for a lounge chair on either side. You are basically underneath the Bimini bar. From here you easily get to the pool area, Bimini bar, and bow observation area with adult hot tub, and restrooms by the elevators.

Two questions about the Dawn - three weeks and counting down!

1. Is there soft serve ice cream?

2. We booked last minute and got a great deal, but no balcony this time, so wanting advice for quiet peaceful outside sitting places.

I haven't heard of the Deal or No Deal show on Norwegian. Can anyone give me some details?

I like the Band on the Run show, not sure if they still have that, its a disco show with songs from the 70s and 80s.

 

Not so Newlywed Show can be really funny if you get the right contestants, Dancing with the Dawn stars is funny.

 

I go to most of the shows, sometimes alone, next month will be my 5th cruise on the Dawn, and the rest of the family is beginning to rebel against the shows.

 

The only show we don't enjoy is Second City, not a big fan of improve.

Tell me what shows and entertainment on the Dawn that we don't want to miss, please.

We will be on the Dawn Nov 22-29, and I can see the prices of wireless on the NCL site. Is the price the same to use the ship's computers in their Internet Cafe? I don't see a separate price for that?

Carnival had a webpage that passengers could use for free for staying in touch. Does NCL have anything like that? Any suggestions for inexpensive ways to keep in contact?

Cell phone use is more than I want to spend.

We just booked the Dawn for the week of Thanksgiving. Can anyone tell me if there will be a traditional Thanksgiving meal served on Thanksgiving Day?

When you get your cruise expense sheet at the end of the cruise, will each time you ordered a drink be listed just as it is each time you order one and pay for it without a package deal? Just curious.

Is there regular ESPN in a common area / lounge?

We are still considering; offer for Ultimate Beverage Package is still available.

I've been looking for sample menus in the main dining room, but I haven't come up with much. We've never had a beverage package, but we don't drink that much. I'm assuming that your included drinks begin when you first get on the ship? We've done all of these ports in the past, and no other vacations beat a cruise!

Any special things about the Dream that anyone wants to share?

So no formal night on the Dawn and no dress code? What about dining at Cagney's? Is there a dress code for that restaurant?

We have to decide by tomorrow in order to get the choice of 4 Freestyle Offers. I am pretty sure we'd choose the ultimate beverage package. Does anyone have a link to the menus for a 7 day Dawn cruise?

We can drive to NOLA, so that's a plus.

My DH and I love cruising! We went with RCI in the Spring, but most of our past cruises have been on Carnival. We did cruise the Norwegian Spirit once.

Tell me all the wonderful reasons to book the Dawn before the offer ends tomorrow night!

So if you're on port side of Magic on seventh floor mid-aft, will you look down on ship or water?

It was the best shore excursion we've done that was a tour. LOVED IT! FYI if you're ever in Cozumel, try Nachi Cocum. Loved that too!
