  1. I'm so sorry this is happening to you and that you are by yourself. If you start feeling worse and your fever goes up or you have difficulty breathing please call the medical center. I wish I could bring you the tissues but hopefully some kind soul will drop some off. to you! Praying that you will start to feel better and you can continue on your journey. Keep us updated.
  2. See how you feel in a few days. After our cruise DH felt sick on the way home in the provided van (with 3 other couples)...we were gloved and masked all the way. We went for tests after we got home...he was positive and I was negative...which is impossible since we spent the previous 34 day together, the last six days in quarantine. I tested positive about a week later. I hope you remain healthy!
  3. Once you're off the ship it's not their problem.
  4. Nah! I don't think they want to know. Then they can only address the cases on board. When we got home from the Coral Princess two years ago many many of the other passengers that we knew got covid when they got home. Princess never inquired.
  5. May I ask? What types of masks are folks wearing onboard? Do you still see fabric masks as well as paper masks? I know none are required right now onboard so thinking maybe people are back to using fabric? Are there any places onboard where masks are required?
  6. I find the most inconvenient thing about the N95 masks is that the elastic goes around you neck and head rather than on your ears.
  7. Right! Glad you caught it! Delta usually notifies us too....and most times it's a minute or two difference in the flight times. This time I happened to come across it and it is absolutely unworkable. No notification! But thankfully I was able to change it an afternoon flight.
  8. That's nice when you can drive to port. We will drive to our NYE cruise which is out of FT. Laudedale. Probably will drive the day of but might change our minds and go the day before.
  9. Hi, Holly! We also used Delta miles for these flights. We need to keep an eye on it. Our next cruise flies to Quebec.and we used EZair and got a great one way fare in First Class but it didn't arrive until 11:13PM. I kept checking and actually found a a flight that gets us there at about 3:30pm and it's almost $250 less than the previous one. Needless to say, I am keeping an eye on that one too!
  10. We are flying into Seattle the day before the sailing...this is for the flight home. We purchased transfers and were told our flight cannot be less than 4 1/2 hours after docking at 7am.
  11. We are flying home from Seattle after our Alaska cruise and our flights have been change several times and we're over a month out. Most of the changes are a few minutes here and there and sometime equipment changes. Today I noticed that our flight that was originally at 12pm, then changed to 11:30 am has been changed to a 7:30am flight which will not work! We only dock at 7am! One of our family member's flight also changed. the other three are still the same....at least for now. I guess it's worth checking from time to time.
  12. Surely you know that there must be many others who do not report...this poster just said it out loud. A friend of mine just told me her sister had it onboard and didn't report it. It may be more common not to report than we imagine. I guess at this point in time there are different ways to look at it. The strain out there is mostly Omicron which manifests itself as a bad cold...so not so devastating, right? Then again, this is why there are still so many cases onboard. I know some people who are more vulnerable due to co-morbidities or serious illnesses but I would image they may choose not to sail or at the very least double mask onboard. Personally, I wouldn't take the chance and cruise at this time. Not agreeing with the poster but just saying there are other ways to look at it.
  13. If you are still 30 days out you can cancel under the Cruise With Confidence policy. It takes a while to get all your FCCs however. I did it with the Enchanted Baltic cruise earlier this year.
  14. I would love to copy and send this as well. What address did you send it to? Do you know the email address for Jan?
  15. When we were on the Coral for 32 days in S. America. We missed ports on 18 of those days. They used a prorated system to compensate us. It was at the beginning of covid and no one could have even imagined what happened. But now they KNOW we will have issues IN ADVANCE... "but oh well, you already paid for the cruise and we're giving you $100...be thankful." Geez
  16. Please click expand and click the arrow!
  17. Agree...we have been to Alaska twice before. We loved it and we are now taking the family...we were hoping that they would have the same great experiences we had. But now missing ports changes the cruise somewhat. Well I guess they won't know what they're missing!
  18. Good idea! Maybe bring a small fan too, we always do!
  19. I was just sharing our experience at the start of Covid. And I never said we had no issues....we bagged up the trash and sheets in our cabin. We sailed around S. America for 19 days and we both had covid when we got home. Excuse me for sharing....I thought that's what these forums are for.
  20. We have seen the Monkeys! They were being fed by some folks right next to the "DO NOT FEED THE MONIKEYS" sugn!!
