  1. good luck with getting the 20%off next cruise, I was told that I wasn't qualified???

Ill call the 800# not my NCL agent that I had booked the original cruise with 4 months ago.

Ive always had trouble with NCLfrom not getting my dinner package tranfered to my new room which they had offered , it took

them  4 nights to finally getting it corrected , just the run around . Even after providing copies of all documents. But that isn't the worst :

Booked a back to back in Nov , cruising the next Sept also all paid in full. Then in Late July I was notified that I couldnt

go on the B2B because of a Jones act I would be in violation of. THis was a Alaska and Hawaii trip and all hotels and

airline tickets booked. What a mess.

  2. Talked to TA at NCL  . She said " did you receive an email" told her no.

Well , we have you still booked on this cruise with the changed Itinerary .

    • OK , whats the price?   Well after you remove the $300 for cost of Visas , the price increases by $128.00 and the port charges also decreased.
    • So , Im paying more to go to ports I don't want to visit.
    • Also I asked her about the 20% discount , and was told I wasn't eligible for that.#.

  3. The cancelation didn't happen , in fact the message I received has about the canceled cruises  has disappeared.

Sailings beyond September 2, 2019 will be automatically cancelled and refunds will be applied to the original form of payment. Guests impacted by these cancellations are offered a 20% discount off current cruise fares on any new voyages booked by August 5, 2019 for sailings no later than December 31, 2020.

The itinerary has changed NO Cuba,

Any know what is going on????

  4. Sept 30 Cuba cruise on The Sun was the middle cruise of a Back to Back to Back so for me it isn't so simple as to cancel that leg of the trip . But Im not willing to pay inflated prices for a 5 day cruise to ports that Ive been to lots of times. But would take that cruise if the price was right so that I could keep my other two cruises in place.

Only time will tell what NCL will offer so I can rebook that leg.

The information I received from NCL said that I would get full refund and the itinerary for Sept 30 has been changed so it just shows 3 days at sea in place of Cuba. But the cruise isn't offered yet.

  5. We were taking this 5 day cruise for the Cuba port. The price we paid was twice the price of a 8 day cruise on the NCL Breakaway the week before the Cuba cruise. So, if they refund 1/2 of the $2000. cuba cruise ($1000.00) that is still more than the Breakaway cruise (same cabin cat) . I would be paying $1000 for the new itinerary of a 5 day cruise to ports I have been to so many times,  But I get a 50% off next cruise …...

Here's the bottom line , I could have taken TWO 8 day cruises for the price I paid for this ONE 5 day cruise. So give me 100% refund or  credit to my account and let me decide which cruise to take.

When Dillards  runs their end of season sales they have 40% off their already 70% marked down items ,

Nope they don't give you 10% to come pick up the items   LOL

  6. The only reason I booked this cruise was to go to ,plus this was in the middle of a B2 B2 B , so the only resolution I will be happy with is 100 % refund , I don't need to go to Freeport and Nassau again.

How are they handling the Next Cruise deposit I used? Hopefully just putting it back into my NCL Next Cruise bank.

    Cuba Travel Policy Update #2 - June 5, 2019 12:00 PM ET

As you may know, on June 4, 2019, the United States government announced new and immediate travel restrictions to Cuba. As a result, we have ceased all calls to the country and have begun to update itineraries for upcoming sailings. We will share the revised itineraries and additional details as soon as they are available. A detailed communication will be sent to you shortly.

We understand the disappointment and frustration this unexpected, last-minute change has caused. Like you, we were surprised by the sudden modification to policy. We thank you for your patience and support as we navigate this recent development.

  7. Thanks for that info.

Can I go to the State Dept website to find a list of the hotels that are not recommended (allowed).

We also would like to attend a baseball game there. But having trouble finding where and when the games are played.

    Oct 1-2.

What else would you recommend that we see while there. We did most of the tourist stuff last trip.

    Thanks so much

    Keith

  8. Thanks so much

This will be our second cruise to Cuba and wanted to experience more of the local life.

I found hotel Raquel which is very near the port.

Think I will book it , and just go see. The description and the pictures look great but you never know.

    Thanks again

  9. Here is a few tips we use:

Cruise enough on one cruise line to get their perks

Use the Credit Card that accumulated cruise credits

Book early , get the free specialty dinning and free gratuities and OBC

On Royal we are Diamond Members so we have free cocktail ect daily

On Carnival we usually get free rooms from onboard casino , then pay for upgrade to balcony.

Always book next cruise (open date) while on ship for the OBC

NCL also gives free cruises from the casino ,

Try to cruise from ports close enough to drive to or book airfare early

Get spa treatments While ship is in port

Do Back to Back cruises or relocation cruises

I'm sure I will think of others ,
