  1. I absolutely love my Lonchamp LePliage bag.  I have it in large and it has wonderful shoulder straps and I feel like no matter how much I load it up it never hurts my shoulder and I am very sensitive to that.  They also fold up perfectly for travel.  I can't say enough good things about them.  Look up videos on YT, there are tons of them.

I have only stayed at the Haven through purchasing it and not bidding for it. I have never done any bidding.

I find it interesting that you bid close to what it costs to actually stay there. Why not just book it at the market rate if you are going to bid close to the market rate. I don't get it. I thought the idea is to lowball and hope for the best.

Great point Dr.Sea.  For us I guess as we get closer to sail date the excitement increases and we starting thinking "should we have booked the haven....." and then there is a false sense of it just doesn't feel like you are spending as much because I paid for the initial cruise months ago....it's all mind game tricks that aren't legitimate at all but yet here we sit, 4 days before sailing hoping we get the upgrade but perfectly fine if we don''t.

  3. I am so sorry to hear that you won't have your luggage.  I try to be a glass-half-full kind of person but I'm pretty sure that would push me over the edge a bit!

I too am also on the Encore  for 12/5-haven't checked this morning yet-But as of mid day yesterday UPGRADE BANNER still came up when checking on my 12/5 cruise-clicked on-went to modify a bid-allowed me to-and still shows all (many) bids still "pending"-yet as of a couple days ago it showed the prior available  remaining rooms no longer availalble and every category SOLD OUT. What does this mean?

Hi -  we are seeing the same for our 12/5 Encore cruise.  All 4 of our bids still show pending.  Fingers crossed we both get our upgrades!

  5. We are sailing on the Symphony on 8/14 and the same thing happened.  We paid more to select our cabin and received an email this week that we were moved to a different cabin, same category.  We were moved up one floor.  In the grand scheme of things it isn't a big deal but we selected our cabin because we wanted to be on the same floor as the boardwalk and now we are not.  I think right now if you are willing to travel you have to be super flexible with unexpected changes.  If you are not you are going to be miserable.

  6. Hi Everyone - we just received notification to not arrive to the port before 12:30 because there will be a coast guard inspection of the Oasis that day.  Embarkation will now take place between 12:30-3:30.  Does anyone have any experience with this that they can share?   I'm envisioning a very stressful and long start to our cruise...still excited beyond words of course but wondering if anyone has any tips to navigate this.

  7. Hi Everyone -

Just wondering if anyone has flown non-rev to catch a cruise outside the US before and what your experience was like? We were thinking of trying it for a cruise out of Southampton, UK and would plan on trying to fly over a few days early to allow for not getting our 1st or 2nd choice on flight. Not worried about the flight home, just getting there. It would be with Delta but curious about anyone's experience.
