The juggler was the only show we saw and we are so glad that we didn’t miss him.  Very funny guy!

How was the rest of the weather for the week? Wasn’t Tracy Arm beautiful?

After decent weather in Tracy Arm in the morning, it rained that afternoon in Juneau.  It was also very foggy for Hubbard Glacier.  The rest of the trip was cool but clear.

I was disappointed that the juggler somehow missed the ship in Skagway (some sort of scheduling conflict) so he performed Saturday afternoon instead of the Neil Diamond tribute show I was looking forward too.  Still, the juggler was good family fun.

How early are menus supposed to show up? My cruise is in a week and i don’t see it under dining/main dining room. I am on a 7 night cruise and i am disappointed it looks like 7 night brilliance of the seas cruises are having asian night instead of caribbean night.

    Hi, Latebuyer,

We're on the same cruise.  I found the menus in the app by clicking on the person icon, then choose a different cruise, then browse all ships.  Select the date of the now-current sailing, then check my time dining. That should give you the menus.  Our cruise menus should also be showing up.  Haven't checked today.

    See you soon.

  3. Thanks, Cayman Turtle, and everyone else who replied.  Menus for our cruise showed up yesterday so I was able to see them on my phone.

Now I just have to decide between spring rolls and dumplings.  And this is a rhetorical question, no replies needed.

You can look on the current sailing in the app and you should be able to see the menu for that night.

Yes, that's where I found it in the first place.  But I was in a hurry and didn't read more than the appetizers, and when I went back, it had disappeared.

  5. It looks like one night on our AK cruise has the Asia night menu.  But when I went back later to check out what was offered, the menus had disappeared.  Does anyone have a copy of the Asia night menu they could post here?  I would be very appreciative.

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  6. We're on the Nov. 20 - 30th cruise and the only excursions that show on the cruise personalizer are for Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Ft. Lauderdale, and the last ones just showed up recently.  I did try the link above and excursions showed for all but Colon and the partial canal transit.  Since I have to get through our Alaska cruise later this month before I start wondering about the November one, I didn't investigate too closely.

BTW, we toured with Dora the Explorer before and she does a wonderful job.  I highly recommend her.

What is there to dread about the shower curtains? On the other hand the shower stall seems smaller than the ones on the Grand Princess.

I've always said Ruby has the smallest bathrooms and largest closets I've ever found at sea.  The shower curtains are just the usual dreaded wrap-around type, but the showers themselves  are smaller than a lot of others so the curtains seem tighter.

  8. Our cruise starts June 25th of this year.  Our ports are Sitka, Juneau, and Ketchikan.  Are any of these tender ports?  Last time we were in Juneau, I think it was a tender port, and we docked in Ketchikan but it was a bit of a hike into town.  DH and I both are more orthopedically challenged than we were back then, so it's helpful to know.

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  9. I notice our TA has purchased 2 specialty desserts for each of us on our upcoming cruise.  I haven't sailed Princess since 2021 and don't remember seeing them before.  What are they?  I'm suspecting something extremely high in calories and/or alcoholic.

    Thanks,

    Kathy

  10. Wishing you a successful flight and a fun cruise.  We've been on Lady G before, loved her, and will be on Brilliance with the grandkids (ages 8, 10, and 12) and our adult daughters and their spouses in June to Alaska.  Again, it's a smaller ship, but they've never cruised before so I'm not worried that they'll miss what they've never had.  And it's a good way to see if they'll enjoy the experience.
