You know those offers where you get up to $500 OBC, but you find out that when you choose your itinerary & cabin you are only going to get $100 or less?

Current Carnival QV8 promo for past cruisers (valid VIFP number), there is a $500 OBC promo available till May 6th. I just looked at a 3 nighter for next Feb, and it showed $500 OBC per cabin. I checked as a chosen inside cabin - still $500 OBC.

So, the deal I spot for 3 nights Luminosa on 6th Feb 2025 is for a midship inside cabin on deck 7.

Room total = $968 and comes with $500 OBC.

Even nicer - Deck 4 aft balcony = $1088 and comes with $500 OBC.

Deck 4 aft on Luminosa are the largest sized balconies, great location. Just had a deck 5 this time slightly smaller by about a foot but still bigger than the regular ones.

We are talking late 2025, but if Voyager is coming via Europe they will need to have resumed cruising through the Red Sea for Singapore to be included. I wonder if they will announce a plan B itinerary or a ship shuffle from the get-go.

Should have been more specific and said Asia...or that way.

It’s looking like Anthem in Sydney and Voyager in Brisbane for the 25-26 season .

But there’s a couple of Radiance class in Alaska in 2025   ,which one could turn up ??? . That’s a bit of a long shot there though,Cheryl.

That will make a nice change, can we assume Voyager through Singapore and Anthem via the Pacific?

Thanks for all the good information on this thread.

We are cruising to Singapore out of Brisbane next year on the Crown & will have to look into what visa & entry requirements we'll need.

I hope I can find my way back to this thread when needed.

We are off to Bali for a week in June then on a cruise in November...will have to do all this twice.

Hiya. Is Dravuni Island a good stop? We're heading there later this year and I haven't done any homework on the ports yet. Any recommendations? 🙂

Hey there, Dravuni Island is beautiful, very tropical and lush, we are there next week.

We have taken boat trips with locals, but usually swim, snorkel and have a massage.

Last stop there was 2016, but can let you know anything new when we get back.

Hi all, might I wish all my lady friends on here a very happy Valentines Day.  Hope you had a good day and the lucky ones got choccies, flowers and a nice meal somewhere. I am going out to Raymonds Chinese at Malua Bay with my daughter and her partner. My shout I suppose, but what is new? Flat out emptying my place for the move on 29 Feb, plenty of stress.

    🍽️🍹

Thankyou Les, hope you enjoy your night, I know all about "our shout"!!

We must be getting old cos we forgot all about it, like we forgot about our wedding anniversary on our Brilliance cruise in October.....reason we went on the cruise but forgot it on the day🤣

    But no couch?

Not something we have ever considered before.

The Caribe balconies or not having a couch?

We never use a couch, also depends where the TV is located but always end up on the bed🙃

If a couch/sofa is important then they are not for you, but for the price point compared to a Mini, worth some thought.

We look for Caribe Aft, just before the Mid cabins where the price goes goes up! Always look for where the smoking side is and go the other.

These X large half covered balconies are on Crown class, including P&O Encounter and Adventure

We caught the dreaded Covid on the Luminosa NYE cruise.

Oh no!...I think you were on with Rob and Ali, I watch their Vlogs. I noticed she didn't attend a few things and thought she might have a bug.

I like the Hideaway Island one, haven't been there since 1999😀

  9. Can't help with recent info as we were last in Argentina in 2006!

but, if you have a Qantas FF card, it is a travel money card, just need to activate online and load currency. We haven't used it that way as we travel with our UBank direct debit for cash and 28Degrees/Lattitude Credit Card, but I would probably consider loading it with local currency for Argentina considering the money situation.

  10. Thanks for the Luminosa update, we are on next weekend. Really loved that ship last time.

Biggest concern ATM is will the Luminosa do the South Pacific?

Where could it go for 11 nights as an alternative. It's a passport cruise so wouldn't have to stick to OZ ports, but I heard  it would need a hull clean to get to NZ and it hasn't had one lately!!

I read the last cruise on Quantum were told at the port the change of itineraries, fingers crossed this weather system buggers off.

    Hi

My family were booked in 2025 on Ovation of the seas April 12th, 18 day  transpacific crossing to Hawaii, We have just received notification that this cruise has been cancelled, and we are now on Quantum of the seas, departing 4 days earlier and taking 21 days, and we would be moved into similar cabins.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? My concern is we are in an accessible cabin, as is my inlaws who were originally next door..

Has there been any news on quantum being deployed to australia for the 24/25 season, and have others had their cruises changed?

     Cheers maree

Hi Maree, Quantum has been here for a couple of years cruising from Brisbane, while Ovation cruise from Sydney for the season.

Quantum will come from Brisbane to Sydney, then head across the Pacific.

Ovation will likely go to Asia.

From what I have read, those that were booked on Ovation and moved have the same cabins on Quantum, call the number that is on your notification email, or log in to your booking and you should see you cabin numbers.

Here is a link to the Rollcall discussing it

    Good luck!!
