  1. I was curious if you were a back sleeper? I'd like to try sleeping in one next time (as sometimes my snoring bothers my wife) but I'm a side sleeper and concerned I couldn't get comfortable enough to sleep 5-6 hours in one. Any suggestions?
  2. If you have DBE and you are the primary sailor, and you have a linked guest sailor in your cabin (with no Virgin perks), and you have footed the bill for the linked guest...do you still have to put the two coffees allowed per day on your wristband in order not to be charged for them under DBE benefits??
  3. Thats funny, I had DBE for the first time on Valiant recently (out of Miami) and only got the red transponder...nothing else, no ribbon.
  4. Yes you can get to it from the room control ipad
  5. Not that I recall, but you can take the room control notepad and dial down the dome light in the ceiling to 1% and have a nitelight or search Amazon for USB Night Light
  6. I did notice this time that there seemed to be more of a disconnect between the few "real" Virgin employees at embarkation, as opposed to the Port of Miami employees in Virgin like uniforms. Many of the baggage handlers were yelling and directing incoming sailors (many first timers) in a pretty rude manner. It was definitely the most chaotic of my 3 embarkations with Virgin. It did make me appreciate the serenity of the sea terrace once I got in my cabin though. πŸ™‚
  7. Especially near the teeter totter....you know those chairs that look like a horizontal rubber tire with the rope netting inside....supended like a swing with 3 heavy metal chains? Super expensive and mega uncomfortable. They do make up for it with the hammocks on the balcony though. πŸ’‘
  8. I'm starting a Virgin Voyages "What were they thinking?" list. As I walk the ships, I'm constantly picking out things. I'll leave some for everyone else, but I'll start with postage stamp sized pool, see-saw and boxing ring. πŸ˜‰
  9. I recently (June 02) checked in with DBE for the first time. I got there well before 1 PM. I had everything filled in on the app previously. I asked someone in front what my first step with DBE should be? They had me go inside and check in. The agent at the podium checked me in. Then I was asked to go back outside into the DBE line in front of the building. There was someone out there giving out water from a cart BTW. After a short wait we were allowed back in and directed up the escalator. We waited upstairs some more and eventually went through security and boarded Valiant Lady. Is this the process now or does it change slightly each time?
  10. I did. It came in handy to store the decorational bed pillows on. 😁
  11. It’s always on the first night.
  12. I’m not allergic to red or black pepper but I find almost all restaurants overdo it as far as my taste is concerned. I can enjoy a little, but more is definitely not better. If I really notice it in a dish, that’s too much for me.
  13. That's why they make vanilla and chocolate. Neither perfect, but both necessary.
