  1. Hello Drake,

I am hoping you can help make a suggestion for me for my day in St. Croix (9 adults in total). We have been to several of the other Islands but this will be our first time in St. Croix. My ideal day would be to basically see perhaps 2 to 3 "must see places", have a good lunch consisting of local food, preferably someplace that has fish prepared the Caribbean way (steamed with veggies, yummy, or fried -- not kidding when I said local food, lol) and then finish off at a nice beach that perhaps have some snorkelling. If no snorkelling that is fine too but beautiful beach wins out over snorkelling.

I really would like your recommendations.

Thanking you in advance for answering my questions.

  2. Well thanks to the helpful tips on these boards, I saw this thread on Sunday and got to purchasing my OBC, locking in the rate after reading that Royal had already changed their rate. I purchased some more yesterday morning while the rate was still advertised as $30.60. I had already read that folks were receiving confirmation showing a higher rate. This info was helpful as I knew mine would be the same so it prepared me for dealing with the phone call I would have to make. Well 1 hr and 20 minutes later, after speaking with the first rep and me asking to be transferred to a supervisor or someone higher up, I was able to get a full refund of the difference back on to my credit card. So glad I found this information just in the nick of time.

  3. Our favorite STT beach is a tie between Lindqvist and Hull Bay - Lindqvist is arguably the most gorgeous beach on the island, while Hull Bay is a nice quiet beach when ships are in port. But with kids and wanting amenities and calm water you'll want to choose between Magens, Coki, Sapphire, SH, and Lindbergh Bay. The latter is close if docked in Crown Bay, from Havensight the east end beaches are not much further from port.

Is there places to get food at Lindqvist Beach?

  5. So this is where we would get our first glimpse of our SUPER COOL, SUPER EXCITING, SUPER FRIENDLY, SUPER ENTERTAINING, & SUPER FUN cruise director, Mr. Butch Begovich – I think that’s his name. This guy…man, this guy. He was what word can I use to describe him? Ahh, I’ve got it. SUPER!! Seriously though, this guy ran circles around the kids that were hopped up on sugar, lemonade and 4 helpings of warm chocolate melting cake. His energy was off the charts. He would literally stand up on one of the benches at the beach pool and jump around doing the cupid shuffle, wobble, electric slide, cabbage patch, roger rabbit – and do it with his own little twists. I was really impressed. For a white boy from MINNESOTA he really had mad skills!! It was something to behold. I’ve never laughed so hard or had so much fun. He would participate in most of the games held on the Lido deck when he wasn’t playing game show host in the Ovation Theatre or hosting seminars. One night in the Comedy Club he came in and had to “put them paws” on a guy who was really drunk and potentially disturbing the rest of the crowd before the show started. He did it all. Customer service manager to concierge to entertainer, and top flight security guard. And the games. Oh my goodness. There is something to be said about a guy who fiercely competed in a contest to see who could “poop” the most pebbles into a plastic cup (those who were on board know what I’m referring to). That’s job dedication. And not to mention the fact that I saw him take a jump fully clothed into the Beach pool at one point. It was wild!! We had a blast. He was definitely by far, hands down the best cruise director we’ve ever hard or heard of. Sadly, if I heard correctly, I believe he is leaving Carnival after x amount of years to pursue his master’s degree. I don’t know where I heard this but if its true those to follow will really be missing out. Sad face.

OMG!!! I also thought Butch was the best CD I have had with Jamie D at a close second. That man can move. My son keeps doing Butch's moves at home. I hope he is still there when we are back on the Breeze in December.

  6. This is my morning to get caught up on reviews and I'm loving yours. Can't believe it's your first review as you are doing an amazing job. Love your little human too, she is just adorable!!

Sukky sukky now!! That brought back great memories for me. We had turned our camera on one of the photographer with him doing is sukky sukky now pose and every time my kids see his picture they would laugh and relive the moment. I only stopped and posed for 2 pictures on my breeze b2b and they both made it to the hall of fame. Folks on our roll call told us it was there as we never check the pictures coz don't usually pose for any.

I'm gonna get some popcorn and come back and enjoy the ride.

  7. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed your review. I did this itinerary in 2005 (except St. Kitts) and your review brought back lots of memory. We too had done the same beach in Barbados along with the submarine. We had found out back then that if you were from the Caribbean which we are, a lot of the excursion on the island were 1/2 price so we took advantage of that and booked it. Got it for $45 as opposed to $90. Again, this was back in 2005.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this review as I know how time consuming it can be and for taking me along on the ride. You will enjoy the Breeze. I was planning on doing a breeze review after doing b2b on her in December but was wayyyyy too lazy to do it.
