  1. OMG, this is a wicked AMAZING review. I am enjoying every ounce of it. I know and appreciate the time it takes to write a review but it is so rewarding as you get to relive your trip all over again.

Glad you enjoyed your roti. My hubby actually made that for dinner last evening.

We are also doing this same route on the Breeze in December so getting lots of tips. Looking forward to the rest.

  2. For those who don't want to rely on the bus, the taxi fare is $8 each way. You simply go to the taxy stand or tour booth at the end of the dock and tell them you want to go to Valley Church. They will hook you up with the next available driver. As soon as a taxi fills up ( it didn't take long for us, we went as soon as we got off the ship a little after 8 a.m.)

We had to wait a little longer to head back- maybe 20 minutes, but it was an easy way to get back and forth.

The area where they drop you off get a little busy, but it never felt overcrowded. If you walk down a little ways, you can pratically have the beach to yourselves.

    Loved it!

Wow!!! this looks so beautiful. Def putting this on my list as one of my choices for my December cruise.

  3. Hey Kim, loving your review girl. It always brings me to a happy place seeing pictures of HMC, it's such a pretty place and one of my all time favorite beach stop.

Joining all the ladies complimenting you on the dresses and shoes pictures and all the guys too on the bikini pictures, so, all I got to say is that you work hard for that body girl so enjoy it, AMEN.

I am enjoying your review as I did you 2 previous ones and looking forwarding to the rest.

  4. Wow, I just finished reading both of your reviews, what a great job. I absolutely enjoyed both of them. Loved your writing style, it felt as if I was cruising with you girl.

We will be on the Imagination in 53 days, a little "add on" following our Miracle cruise and can't wait. Usually, when my cruises are finished we are always left wanting more so this will be the first of our newly formed tradition of doing b2b cruises.

  5. So to wrap up this review, here are a few final pictures from our time on the Magic......thanks for letting us relive our trip!!!

    Thanks

    Jerry

OMG, what a great picture review. To my fellow Bramptoner, my hats off to you. Job well done. We are planning on going on the Breeze next year so it was great seeing pictures of the ship, knowing the the Breeze will be similar.

  6. Sayvan, from another fellow Canadian, I am really enjoying your review, more so because I am considering a cruise on celebrity sometime next year but is still on the fence. Having tried a few cruise lines, I really enjoy Carnival cruises. Not sure how it will be cruising with a 5 and 8 year old on celebrity so I am doing my research now.

As you said earlier, you will not really be doing a comparison between carnival and celebrity but I really would like to get your thoughts on the food between the two lines, understanding that food is subjective. I have done 3 carnival cruises and definitely enjoyed their food much more than on Princess or RCCL.

  7. Has Freedom had the Serenity since the ship was built??? When we were on the ship in 2008 I do not remember any where on the ship that was for Adults only! Well the pool area, which is funny due to the pizza being there! And who likes pizza??? KIDS!!!!!!

They must of added that after we sailed the Freedom! I would of really enjoyed that!!!

I wondered the same thing too as we were on the Freedom April 2008 and I don't recall seeing that adult only section. I too would have loved it.

  8. I have every read. I am totally enjoying this. Just got off the Liberty of the Seas last Sunday and was on the Valor last October and it sure is nice to relive my Valor cruise through your pictures .

From one Canadian to another, you did well. You have a beautiful family and you can certainly feel the love. Waiting patiently for the rest and really appreciate that writing a review of this magnitude to benefit all of us is definitely a labour of love.

  9. Going on a weekend cruise next week and tried Priceline for the first time last night. After reading the suggestions on these boards, I decided to bid for something in the Coral Gables area as opposed to Downtown Miami. We stayed in Downtown Miami for our cruise this past April but it was 16 of us (friends and family) so could not do Priceline as we were doing 4 per room. We ended up staying at the Marriott Bisycane Bay at $148.00 a night (including taxes).

So, I bid $80.00 for a 4 * for 1 night on December 11/08 and my bid was accepted on the first bid. I ended up with the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables. With taxes the total was $98.66. I actually needed a room for 4 people but I thought if I call the hotel after and was not able to do 4 people then I would just bid again. Well, I called the hotel right after my bid was accepted and the person I spoke told me that it was not a problem to have 4 people in the room (I got her name of course). I was even able to request a room with 2 double beds and again, was told not a problem and that the request was noted.

Has anyone stayed at this hotel before? Any thoughts / feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
