Thank you...that was my first reaction too...... No one should be arriving early.  Show up at your allotted time.... if you miss lunch, oh well......  far more important for every sailing to go as smoothly as possible right now.

What is the first boarding time being offered?

  2. Both of my November 2021 cruise roll calls  were created last year and the itinerary is very very different and latest posts were a year+ ago too. It would be great if there was a way to clean up the various roll calls. Not certain if creating new ones is the answer unless old ones can be deleted. I have emailed cruise critic. Any other suggestions?

Thanks to everyone who responded to my inquiries. Due in large part to your helpful feedback, we have decided to try out Caribbean Princess in April 2020.  Only 200 days to go 😀

If you google Princess Patters (daily listing of events) I think you will better see activities offered. I have found throughout the years activities are very similar so no need to fret if you can't find most recent. We love Caribbean Princess and we've sailed NCL and RC. When my daughter was younger slides, rope courses, wave runners etc had more appeal. Glad there are cruise lines for all of us as our children age. 😄

Last month on the Royal it was open to all three categories.  Actually, what struck me was the total absence of any effort to check who was entering.   Anyone could walk in and sit down.  If an "ineligible passenger" tried to order drinks, perhaps they would have been refused service and ejected, but I doubt it.

Medallion may show status to bar tender when drink is orderered and as a matter of fact someone would not need to stand at door as passenger could be identified when you enter room based on your medallion and could be read by someone behind bar.

Regarding captains reception I believe it is held two different  nights in order to accommodate  the two different traditional dining times.

In answer to your question, no.  They do have a sale in the springtime that offers a free BPB package called the Sip'n'Sail.  I have taken advantage of it several times in the past and again for our first cruise next year.

We are careful with sip n sail and other promos, our mini suite which we booked before the sip n sail promo was more expensive with that promo.  about the same as purchasing 2 beverage packages more. 🤔We have been successful booking while on board getting the obc and the pleasure of booking and planning the next cruise before getting off.

We are definitely looking at doing this when we take DH's parents next year! When we travel with our kids, we are usually rushing back to not miss an additional day of school.

Try the baggage handling service offered on most cruise lines. Baggage picked up evening before at cabin door and arrives at your home airport when you do. We have taken advantage of this service many times and worth the $. Nice to only deal with carry on luggage. Also cruise lines prints boarding passes and are placed in cabin evening before. No need to stop at counter in airport, go straight to security. I believe a much more pleasant way to end a cruise.
