You also don’t have to wait two years to have them refunded if no longer wanted. Just call Princess and they will refund them before expiration if you want. But will your husband change his mind again in the future?

We’re taking a b2b in Nov ‘18 with first leg on Royal and second on Crown. We received the letter that the Royal probably would not have *****. But have not heard anything about the Crown. And its Nov ‘18 cruises are still being marketed as ***** vacations.
What’s the story about the Crown.

You could get the "lead-in fares" from this thread https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2570983
but if you want the fare for cabins in higher categories you were out of luck.
We booked this morning over the phone knowing our fare from the thread referenced by nukesubsailor.
Karen has a different captains circle number than mine. My surprise was that even I’m elite, the person taking our order confirmed that Karen was too before she would proceed claiming that all adult passengers in the cabin had to be elite to take advantage of the early booking benefit. She claimed that the elite verification requirement was why I couldn’t book it online and had to call in. I didn’t understand why the booking system couldn’t perform the verification, but didn’t push the question as we got the specific cabin on the cruise we wanted.

If changing ships on the same day, talk to the captain circle rep on the first cruise about making arrangements for a transfer. Do this early in the cruise so arrangements can be made. When we did this before they had a special luggage tag category for us - it was one of the last to disembark. Once past immigration we talked to the first Princess rep we saw and asked where to go.
Thank You for answering my specific question.

A little off topic but what happens if you arrive on the Roral and leave on the Crown the same day. Our dear now ex TA was clueless and suggested simply to walk with 4 total suitcases from one ship to the other.

We’re booked on the Coral November 11 partial PC originally advertised as original canal and now using the new locks. We were disappointed in the change.

Have not cruised on princess for a few years. Sailing on their Nov, 11 cruise to Panama Canal... Also, Years ago we would get an email from the Captain.
COUNTRYCOWGIRL,
We are on your cruise. We received an email from the Captain, named Andrea Poggi. There was no biographical info with the email, just the usual sales hype.
We have a VERY slow and inactive role call over at https://www.cruisecritic.com/rollcalls/coral-princess-november-11-2017/
Please join us and I might explain why the Coral is our most favorite ship.

We took a Scandinavian cruise with an overnight in St Petersburg in'99. And because of a sale had a cabin with a butler.
The original Royal Princess was a very elegant lady.

Mind boggling. Just mind boggling. How do these old threads get revived???
Easy, people stay up until 02:37 am just to post so they can boggle Thrak's mind

Is there any U.S. cruise ship port that doesn't have a sales tax?
Oregon has an income tax and no sales tax so rdcruisin2 is correct, Astoria, OR

The aft most mini's starting with D705-706 are covered. Here's a link to a great web page that shows the covered and uncovered cabins on the Coral.

We have upcoming cruises on the Emerald, Grand and Coral and I couldn't pre-book specialty on any of those. Yet anyway.
I just checked each of our future cruises and can now pre-reserve specialty dining for all of them. But it states that it has to be pre-paid and if I plan on using onboard credits or promotional meals I have to book onboard.

We have taken this tour twice. If in Tracy Arm you get to see both north and south Sawyer Glaciers. As we approached the north glacier there were mommy and baby seals everywhere on the ice flows which we thought we real special to see. Plus the north glacier was very active calving while we were there. And on the south glacier the boat operator took us very close to the face then turned his enginnes off de we could listen to it.
On the way back to Juneau they saw a bear right at water side so they drove over really close to it for us to take pictures. And then followed a whale for a little bit so we got some great pix of its fluke as it's tail went in and out of the water.
That is why we prefer Tracy Arm over Glacier Bay.

We're doing 2 different AK cruises next year, 1 in May & 1 in Sept and they each had that notification. We're also taking the Grand to HI in November but those excursions aren't available yet to see what Princess says at that time.

I copied this from our 2017 Alaska excursion listing:
UPDATE TO SHORE EXCURSION PAYMENT POLICY FOR YOUR VOYAGE
Please be advised that we have updated our policies and pre-payment is no longer required for shore excursions. You may now make shore excursion reservations and pay when you settle your onboard folio. If you have already pre-paid your shore excursions and you are happy with your booking, there is no need to do anything at this time. If you would prefer to pay for an existing tour reservation onboard, please cancel your existing reservation, wait 24 hours for the refund to process, and then re-book your shore excursion reservation. Refunds will be issued to the credit card used to pay, and will take approximately 4 to 10 business days. If the price of the tour has gone up since your original booking, or it is currently sold out, please contact us at 1-800-774-6237.
By clicking Continue you acknowledge you have received the above notification.

Since the University of Oregon's mascot is a duck and the Grand is presently in Oregon does that mean the Grand is in dry duck?

Wow ... to those that posted pictures and videos ...thanks so much!!
It looks really cold there in Portland.
Actually, it is really cold here in Portland right now. They are working on the Grand 24/7 and I feel sorry for the workers who are out in our snow and ice right now.

Princess must REALLY like this Alice person because I received their card too. Sure hope this is not the result of what we'll see with Princess out-sourcing some of its IT.

We will be on an Alaska cruise in May, 2017 that goes to Sitka. There is an excursion that we really wanted to take that I couldn't find online from a private operator so I booked the Princess excursion and paid. To my surprise I got a 10% discount. I'll gladly let Princess hold my money for 6 1/2 months interest free for a 10% discount.

OP - we will be boarding the Nov 12th Ruby in San Pedro and our documentation says, as others have indicated, we will be using pier 93.

One other great suite perk is room service breakfast on the last morning.
