We had the card in our room and were able to make our own reservations on recent Baltic cruise (same with our friends). I don't think we had a full ship which might have been why.

We were on the 12-day Baltic and purchased ahead of time for $84. Our friend called the same number and was told to purchase it on board. He did and it cost $108. Where you purchase it must be the difference.
When we entered our room there was an "A Gift for You" card saying we had gotten the laundry package. We had to sign the card and drop it off at the front desk. I did have to contest three laundry charges on my final bill, but had no trouble getting them removed. I suggest checking periodically.

I don't think we could have gotten value out of it had we paid. Since it was a promotion on our cruise, it was a great deal :).

We had the package on our recent Baltics trip. The drink cards were in our room on embarkation along with a card saying we had a Pinnacle dinner which we could set up the reservation for ourselves. The drink card was good for just about every regular drink on board. I drink Bombay Sapphire and Chivas Regal and both were OK. I think I remember our friends getting a house red as well as a Chardonnay on the card. First time you used it, you needed your room card as well, but after that just the beverage card. Everything went very smoothly.

I'd just like to add my agreement to PatriciaF and Kenato's comments. We were really satisfied with all aspects of this cruise.
We were among the first group off the ship in St Petersburg and were through customs in less than 20 minutes. They are using a new system where you just show them your passport and proof of tour membership. They print up a landing paper and give it to you with your passport. Upon return the first day, you turn the paper back in, they stamp your passport and the next day you just use the passport and tour proof. It was very easy.
We were thinking the Tamarind was having trouble getting diners because the girl from there was touring the Lido every day trying to get reservations.

Eurodam was at Copenhagen's Oceankai and is too far to walk. They did run a shuttle bus and there are cabs. I don't think the city has a good handle on public transport out there yet.
Stockholm: Ship's shuttle, Bus 1 or better yet 76 (stop a short walk). We were supposed to do tender from a buoy very near old town, but captain complained that he didn't think it was safe for the Eurodam (no turn around and problems if wind came up). We were reassigned to a pier. Ship that was then put at buoy dragged anchors and damaged the buoy in the wind.
Helsinki: We were on a tour, but I think they also ran a shuttle.
Tallinn is walkable as are Warnemunde and Kiel.

On the May 23 sailing it was Dave Shea. The captain was Henk Keijer, but he left at the end of the voyage.

Just got off Eurodam. There is a cup holder that pulls out of the arm. Just have to be careful not to wave your arms around a lot :p

Thank you all! Can't wait 'til Wednesday. :D

They really don't reserve seats. Prepurchase just saves you the time of buying it there. Our tickets are good for the day, no special time.

Hi, new member on here and it's been suggested I post here to see if anyone else is interested. Found a 3 day group tour round St Petersberg in June, we set off from Stockholm on the Seabourn Quest on 22nd June.
Unfortunately Alla have said we need 10 people for the tour to take place, so is there anyone else on the cruise who would be interested in doing the 3 day group tour?
You might have better luck by trying here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1989982
It's the roll call for your voyage and I see there is a small conversation about tour sharing.

We also use the TA for booking cruise, air, etc., but do our own shore excursions. She is one I have used for years and I think either there is no commission on the excursions or if there is, she gets it due to booking being connected to her. I remember I did ask her and she said go ahead :).

I checked on the cost for our upcoming 12-day Baltic and was told it was $299 for one and $499 per couple for the Thermal Suite/Hydro Pool package. (per email from HAL)

We're going to take the historical no 7 tram back from Djurgarden with the Stockholm card. That tram is covered by the tram - correct?
I notice that the #7 seems to only operate on Sat/Sun up to June 14 when it starts 7 day service.
-
We are going to be docked at the buoy (Eurodam) and didn't get our order in for the Stockholm card early enough, so we printed out a voucher. How far is it from where our tenders will bring us to a place to pick them up?
-
Thanks. We'll miss it by 5 days. Story of my life :D.

It looks like any tour that offers the hydrofoil ride in St Petersburg will not be doing it, at least at the start of the season. We are on an Alla tour on May 26, 27 and they confirmed that there are no runs due to dock work.

I think I saw that Tram 3T will be different during some construction this summer. Will it still be comparatively easy to ride the 2-3T loops to get a feel for the area? Can you get on 2 and just stay on it, or do you have to transfer to 3T at some point?

FYI, I received email confirmation from Stromma that there will be hop-on hop-off buses at the Oceankaj C330 when the Eurodam is there June 3. I'm thinking it is a shuttle type service that takes you to one of the regular stops. They said there is a bit of difference between the red and green buses, but I haven't been able to check that out yet.

One thing about calling ship's services. I called to get the package and had no problems. My friend called and was told he had to do it on board. Guess it depends on who answers your call.
An email I had gotten from HAL had told me I could do either.

I would guess this is the website: http://www.icebarstockholm.se/booking/
Yes, that is the one I used. It involved several steps which ended by going to a different site to provide the credit card information, etc. I tried to see what was available on your date, but it indicated you had to be within two months to book. Procedure went easily and I had a printable confirmation followed up by an email.

We have reservations for 4:30 at the Ice Bar on Thursday 5/29. Our ship is at the buoy mooring. We were hoping to take the ferry to visit the Vasa and then wander in Skansen before heading to the bar. What is the best way to get from Skansen to the Ice Bar and how long should we allow?

Thanks very much for your reply.

I went to the Molli RR site and the information on fares and schedules was from 2009. I tried using the email link and got a message that it was undeliverable. Is there a new website or is it another problem? Thanks.

Either at the desk when you get on or by phone. I don't think it's even available online.
