  1. We were on the 12-day Baltic and purchased ahead of time for $84. Our friend called the same number and was told to purchase it on board. He did and it cost $108. Where you purchase it must be the difference.

When we entered our room there was an "A Gift for You" card saying we had gotten the laundry package. We had to sign the card and drop it off at the front desk. I did have to contest three laundry charges on my final bill, but had no trouble getting them removed. I suggest checking periodically.

  2. We had the package on our recent Baltics trip. The drink cards were in our room on embarkation along with a card saying we had a Pinnacle dinner which we could set up the reservation for ourselves. The drink card was good for just about every regular drink on board. I drink Bombay Sapphire and Chivas Regal and both were OK. I think I remember our friends getting a house red as well as a Chardonnay on the card. First time you used it, you needed your room card as well, but after that just the beverage card. Everything went very smoothly.

  3. I'd just like to add my agreement to PatriciaF and Kenato's comments. We were really satisfied with all aspects of this cruise.

We were among the first group off the ship in St Petersburg and were through customs in less than 20 minutes. They are using a new system where you just show them your passport and proof of tour membership. They print up a landing paper and give it to you with your passport. Upon return the first day, you turn the paper back in, they stamp your passport and the next day you just use the passport and tour proof. It was very easy.

We were thinking the Tamarind was having trouble getting diners because the girl from there was touring the Lido every day trying to get reservations.

  4. Eurodam was at Copenhagen's Oceankai and is too far to walk. They did run a shuttle bus and there are cabs. I don't think the city has a good handle on public transport out there yet.

Stockholm: Ship's shuttle, Bus 1 or better yet 76 (stop a short walk). We were supposed to do tender from a buoy very near old town, but captain complained that he didn't think it was safe for the Eurodam (no turn around and problems if wind came up). We were reassigned to a pier. Ship that was then put at buoy dragged anchors and damaged the buoy in the wind.

Helsinki: We were on a tour, but I think they also ran a shuttle.

Tallinn is walkable as are Warnemunde and Kiel.

  5. Hi, new member on here and it's been suggested I post here to see if anyone else is interested. Found a 3 day group tour round St Petersberg in June, we set off from Stockholm on the Seabourn Quest on 22nd June.

Unfortunately Alla have said we need 10 people for the tour to take place, so is there anyone else on the cruise who would be interested in doing the 3 day group tour?

It's the roll call for your voyage and I see there is a small conversation about tour sharing.

  6. FYI, I received email confirmation from Stromma that there will be hop-on hop-off buses at the Oceankaj C330 when the Eurodam is there June 3. I'm thinking it is a shuttle type service that takes you to one of the regular stops. They said there is a bit of difference between the red and green buses, but I haven't been able to check that out yet.

  7. One thing about calling ship's services. I called to get the package and had no problems. My friend called and was told he had to do it on board. Guess it depends on who answers your call.

An email I had gotten from HAL had told me I could do either.
