I love Celebrity and if the pricing structure was more competitive like it was 2 year ago, they would get all my cruise business. However, I also love Princess and Royal, so which ever line has the best ship, itinerary, and price will get my cruise dollars.

Great job Bill. Thankx for sharing it.

I am now an Elitist. :D Although I did need to call the Captain's Club this morning to make it happen.
Yesterday they gave me only 50 club points for the 10 day cruise in Concierge even though sailing solo entitled me to the double points. A 12 minute phone call got it fixed today despite being told it could take a week or more to correct.
I then immediately requested the upgrade option on our Azamara veranda to club Suite in August. Now my fingers are crossed there will be one available.
But regardless, now my DW will be considered Elite or Discoverer on our next two cruises.
BRAVO!!!

Excellent.Thank you for taking us along on your Cruise.
Thank you for watching.
Very nice video Bill:) We fly out of Milwaukee on Sunday and our on the Equinox on Monday:) We are excited and we have reservations for a couple of the specialty dining packages as well. You missed a couple of snow storms so you were in a great place. This will be a great time to go and get away from the cold as we are going down a day early and spending a couple of days after. We may try to make a video as you did and when we get back I will try to figure it out to post:) Once again thanks for that video and it was great!!!Trust me, we did not MISS a thing about the 2 snowstorms while we were gone! :D:D I know you will have a great time on Equinox...great ship with a great crew! Have a blast!

From December 7-19, 2016 DW, Rosie, and I took a cruise vacation. I made a short (15 min) video of the whole trip. Hope you enjoy watching, almost as much, as we enjoyed taking the trip.:):):)

And last, HAPPY CRUISING!:):):)

Hmmm Southwest will allow us to go on the next flight if this one is missed, however it's at 5pm and we wouldn't arrive home until midnight versus getting home at 2 pm
Two choices, go early and stress, or get a day room at a hotel and enjoy an extra day of activation. :):)

Steve
Do you think it would have been possible to make an 8:45am flight
Southwest, no checked bags? From Fort Lauderdale self disembark?
The Equinox docked at 7:00 and debarkation did not start until about 7:25. I would not try to make an 8:45 flight. However, there are other ships that dock at 6:00AM and those would be doable, but I would not do it...too much stress for me! My earliest flight is 10:00AM....:):)

My DW, Rosie, and I are on this cruise with Steve. When we boarded we purchased the ultimate dining package and Steve has asked me to create a post about that. ( I should note that the ultimate dining package is going away with Cruises starting January 2017. In 2017 you be able to buy as many nights of specialty dining as you wish and you will receive a better price per night, based on the number of nights that you purchase.)
On this cruise the ultimate dining package gave Rosie and I the privilege of dining in specialty restaurants each night. Contrary to popular belief you do not have to dine in all of the restaurants, you can pick and choose which ones you prefer. In fact, if you wish to dine in only one restaurant every night, you may do so.
Food is very subjective, that being said, Rosie and I booked two nights in the Tuscan Grille and eight nights in Murano. After our first night in the Tuscan Grille, being greatly disappointed, we switched our second night in Tuscan, to the Murano.
The best way to describe the food in Murano is a French flavored restaurant done in an American style, if there can be any such thing. Anyhow, we had many dishes from the menu, they also made us some of the old favorites that are no longer on the menu, and in one word every meal was fantastic. Some of the most popular dishes in Murano are the lobster prepared tableside and Crepe Boullon Rouge, as a dessert, also prepared tableside. The Dover sole is fantastic, as is the venison.
Yesterday afternoon Rosie and I had lunch in silk harvest. We both felt the food was very good and well prepared. However, based on having a choice of dining in Murano, or silk harvestfor dinner, I would choose Murano.

Steve--Thank you for a great review. We are sailing on the Mardi Gras cruise, too. We also booked a May 5 cruise when they had the big promotion this summer. We have not saile X in 6 years and never on this class of ship.:D
Just a bit over two months and our Mardi Gras cruise will be in full swing.

On another note, the satellite & internet have been atrocious today. The news channels were out for awhile this morning. So was the internet. I'm having a lot of trouble trying to navigate the internet and great difficulty trying to upload pictures.
Same problem here...I feel your pain.

Hey Bill,
Jeff and I usually go there every night, but generally around 6-7 or 9-10 (before and/or after dinner in Blu). We were the couple with the aqua class cabin from the cabin crawl. Maybe we'll bump into you there or elsewhere at some point over these last few days aboard.

Just booked a 9 night package, for an 11 night cruise in February, on Equinox. The price per nights is sooooooooo much lower than the Ultimate dine pack used to be....A very good deal for those that like/love specialty restaurants. :):)

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
JoB...
What a fun video and just the right length.........
Glad ur seas were calm, in March when we cruised on the same itinerary we had to stay overnight in San Francisco due to rough seas. Advantage got to leave in the day light and the crew loved it because many were able to go out late and enjoy some of the clubs. How lucky you were to see the new lights on the Oakland Bay bridge they just added those right before our sailing in March.
Perfect to do Alcatraz at night, eerie isn't it?.....I did it several years ago with my sons and we kept on scaring each other, suggested to my DH to do the night tour on our recent cruise he said once was enough when he and I did it, in the day light probably 30 years ago. We live in So. CA.
Tidbit, which I caught...missing SD statue....I am assuming you have been to SD B4.

I think my Goooooooooooood Morrrrrnnnning Is rubbing off on you. LOL
Thanks for watching and the very kind words.
Yes, I have been to SD many times, but I am not sure what you mean by the missing statue??

Is it worth the extra money to get an AFT Balcony vs a side Balcony. We will be traveling on Princess Ruby. Thanks for any insights!
Depends on what you are looking for? The balconys on the Carbie deck (side) are HUGE and if you have one of them I would keep it. :):)

Thanks for watching and the very kind words. Making a video does take a bit of work, but the program I use (ProShow Producer) is really what makes it all come together.
