Never seen Bud Light Draft on Celebrity. The only Place I've seen Beer on Tap is Craft Social on S-Class ships -- They have Moretti, Amstel Light, Affigem, Tiger and Newcastle Brown Ale

Traveling with a friend who drinks mostly bud light draft (Not bottles or cans). Can anyone confirm that they have this on the constellation? TIA!

It appears that you are questions have been hijacked by hairdryer debate. We were on the constellation about a year ago and very much enjoyed it. I spent a lot of time before dinner at the martini bar, which is always good to meet people at and see a good show. We really enjoyed the reflections lounge on deck 11. Lots of activities in the evening. My husband very much enjoyed the Persian garden, especially after a day of excursions. The silent disco‘s that were held were extremely lively and fun. The constellation still has a library on it so that’s always a good quiet place to sit. We also took a vantage of playing pickle ball on the sports court. It can get windy but we really enjoyed ourselves. Hope you have a great cruise.
Thanks Debra! Yes maybe I should have put hair dryer on a separate thread... lol. Someone else mentioned the silent disco...I will check it out! What is the Persian Garden?

Would love to hear thoughts/reviews on either of these experiences if anyone has done them!

What matters to you in a cruise? Which areas are you more interest in hearing about?
Here is my review of the Constellation [link], from our sailing last month.
Thanks for linking your review! Guess I'm wondering what bars offer the best nightlife/dancing, if there are any less known places on deck to hang for the day and chill, any main dining/reservation tips, etc

My friend was on Constellation last month and complained to guest services about the room hair dryers. She told them that next time she plans to bring her own and they said it wasn't allowed.

No you cannot bring your hair dryer. Most people bring a thick rubber band to keep the button on because you have to hold it down 🙄 to keep it working.
Boo. Good tip though thanks!

Cruising the Constellation next month....looking for insider tips and tricks! We love wine, good bars, nightlife, and relaxing by the pool or on deck.
Also...heard unofficially that you are not allowed to bring a hair dryer?? Never heard of such. Yes I know there is one in the room but those are not adequate for my hair! Can anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance!

What is the cheers promo and FTTF?

I have seen a lot of posts recommending Discover Scuba. I found the website, but also saw that Carnival has a Beginner Scuba excursion. Are these the same thing? Is one better than the other?
I also saw that Discover Scuba has a one tank version that you do from the beach and a two tank version that you do on a reef. I would imagine the 2 tank is better but was wondering if anyone could comment on that.
Thanks for any help!

It was pretty big. I think it would have handled two loungers and a table. Two additional chairs might be too much.
Thanks! What is this "Hidden stairwell" that you mentioned?

How big was your balcony? Big enough to fit 2 lounge chairs as well as a table and chairs?

I hope RCCL is reading. I have been reading many posts and reviews regarding food in the main dining room. Many have been complaining that the food is not hot and is been declining in taste and quality. I do realize that food is subjective and the line is serving masses of people. But my gosh can't they work on some of these problems. We aren't expecting gourmet food in the MDR. At least the food can come our hot and tasty. Hey I am happy not to have to cook while vacationing!!!! We cruise several lines and are hoping that our Grandeur MDR will serve us hot tasty food.
We are recently off the Vision and these were our observations exactly. We ate in the MDR every night, and sometimes for breakfast. Quality was decreased and food was often cold. Waiters were working hard but seemed overextended. The windjammer was worse. RCCL seems to be cutting corners.

Still cruise searching....and I am having a hard time finding a Carnival cruise that does NOT have one of these obnoxious screens. Have not had this problem on other lines. What gives?

The only time it was on was for the movie. This was on Liberty two weeks ago.
why would it be a deal breaker , are you never leaving the lido deck?[/quote
We are up there enough to eat, and because the kids like the pool, that I will never book a ship that has the TV on constantly. I hate the noise!

Does anyone have any insight of when Norwegian might start lowering prices on the Getaway for 2015? I know they have started for 2014. I am looking at spring break 2015 and prices are still quite high. I know I can book now and take advantage of a price drop, but may end up booking a different ship altogether if it means saving $1000.

One thing I love about cruising is getting away from technology. While on the Triumph a few years ago I was dismayed to find out that the deck big screen was on CONSTANTLY! Is it that way on the Dream? Would love to book but that may be a deal breaker for me.

I sailed the Mardi Gras in 1987 with 8 friends, celebrating our senior spring break. I was 17 and no on thought twice about serving me alcohol. 4 to an inside cabin, Riviera deck. Things I remember...
Waiters trying to sing "America the Beautiful" together in the dining room. Since none of them were American, naturally none knew the words. It became obvious that they all had the words written in their hats, because at the beginning of the song they all took of their hats and began singing while looking in them. Hilarious!
Free rum punch at the singles party. Again, at 17 I thought this was awesome.
Watching "Ruthless People" in the Cinema.
Even when I hadn't been drinking, the boat rocking made me stagger so much it looked like I had been. (So glad for stabilizers now!)
Snorkeling in Freeport...I think the excursion was like $20.
My whole cruise, air included, was around $600.
And yes, I remember the bathroom!

Also does anyone know what time suite people can board?
-
I learned and just called the pre-cruise concierge, 1-855-625-4283, to make cabin requests. Empty the mini fridge, extra hangers, pillows (there's a menu) & towels. Choc covered strawberries & chilled pinot ready in the suite. I also requested a table for 11 people at 5:15 in the MDR on day 1.
Is this the NCL number everyone calls for pre-cruise concierge? We are new to the "suite life" and are trying to learn the ropes!

Well, I screwed up.
I selected 3* rather than 3.5 and got the Courtyard Miramar, which is ok, except I know my bid was way high because I was trying to up it for Sheraton. So, I'm paying $85 for the Courtyard, that other people were getting for much less.
It's still less than the "usual" rate (Marriott website says $145), so it's a still a decent price, but I really, really wanted to be in OSJ.
This is exactly what I was worried I'd do. $%#*@!
Oh well. Guess I'll have to cough up even more money to get into OSJ for my sightseeing and now I have no idea what to do with my luggage.
I'm so annoyed.
We are also at the courtyard miramar. You can take the bus to OSJ for 75 cents which is what we plan to do. It is not far.

Got the courtyard marriott miramar again! My first win was 3/20 at $45. My post cruise win was 3/28 for $80. I guess Saturday nights are harder to get. Still a good deal!
