We are on the cruise leaving this Sunday, Jan. 7th. It has been a number of years since we last cruised out of Bayonne, if we arrive about 10:30 will we need to stand in a line outside. My concern is the weather is for possibly below 0 temperatures the night before and traveling with some elderly folks, not that I want to stand outside either for more than a few minutes.

Do they have the Freestyle Coke Machines on the Navigator?
I know I've seen a list somewhere but can't find it at the moment.
Navigator does not have the Freestyle Coke Machines.
-
We received the small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc on our last 2 cruises. We did not ask for them and we were not in a suite so I guess it depends on your stateroom attendant.
If you need or want them, just ask.

We booked the Freedom for next January while on the Navigator last month. The Loyalty Ambassador told us that MTD was the only dining option available and that was what RCI was doing for all the larger ships. I don't know if that is actually true, but that is what she said.

We were on the Navigator back in January. I agree with you on the up-selling and the MDR food. However the selling didn't bother me as much. What you say is true, but I said no thanks and kept on going.
I will admit watching some of the sales on the promenade was some of the best entertainment on the ship. The best was a watch sale, I sat and drank a beer as a pack of people swarmed the sales desk. People were pushing and shoving each other for a cheap watch. Truly comical.

Maybe it's a Freedom thing or a 2016 thing. Hope not. We have a B2B Cruise booked on the Adventure March/April 2015 and both legs of the Cruise are confirmed early traditional (6:PM) non waitlisted. We are also Cruising on the Jewel September 2015 and confirmed early traditional (6: PM) non waitlisted.
Entirely possible although she made it sound like it was more than just the Freedom. In any case I think there may be some kind of changes coming.

I thought MTD was always offered for all Cruises as is TD.
So did we, but the C&A Loyalty person told us only MTD.

We are leaving on the Navigator on January 25, so this is a very important question! Did they have limes on the ship? Our last cruise on IOS they had no limes and when I asked for one for my Corona the bar tender said no limes but you can have a lemon. Yuck. LOL
Yes there were definitely limes in my Coronas.:)

Can you tell me which nights were formal dining nights on the ship?
Thanks!
Formal nights were Monday and Friday night.

Do you happen to have the Cruise Compasses? Were you on the Belize, Roatan, Cozumel itinerary or the Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Cozumel itinerary?
We were on the Belize, Roatan Cozumel route. Sorry I didn't save the Compasses. We usually do then end up throwing them away after we find them buried in a drawer after a year or so.

We booked the Freedom for Jan 2016 while onboard our last cruise a week ago and we were told that only MTD was being offered for all future cruises.
-
Do you remember if the ship changed time to island time?
Just off from last week and we stayed on ship time (Galveston time).
Which may or may not have been island time, never checked.

The only one we could find with 2 BR suites, including 2 baths, was Town Place Suites.

Another suggestion for keeping milk is to bring some ziploc bags, use the larger ones, fill it with ice and keep the cartons of miilk in bag and place in the frdge/cooler.

Thank you so much for posting this!! I had two Med cruises, one 12 night the other 11 night.
My 15 minute or so hold time netted me a $2,630.00 savings! That is huge!!
Thank you so much!! :) :)
That is huge, congratulations! Mine ended up being only alittle over $100, but every $ counts.

Book on-line. Or, before you talk to them, get pricing on various ships/itineraries by doing a mock booking and you can see instant results. That is what I did when I read it in this board and got a Central Park balcony on Oasis for Feb., '16 for less than $800 per net of all discounts. Total savings was approximately $650.
Well I'm trying to get $$$ off an existing booking so I have to do it by phone.
-
Now if I could only get thru to RCI...
-
Yes I did get an adjustment on a previous booked sailing and they also added a C&A discount...
Make a call, it's so worth it,
Patty
That's great, I figured since it was a promo we would have to cancel and rebook. Since we have the cabin we want (aft), onboard credit and C&A discount, I was reluctant to do so.
-
It's impossible to know if the current price will be the best one you can get. For us, the promo has been very good because we have gotten several hundred dollars in price drops on cruises in 2015 and 2016.
Can you use the 1/2 off promo for a price drop on an existing booked cruise, or would you need to cancel and rebook to take advantage of it?

On our cruise this past January, they gave everyone a wrist band for the upgraded buffet, and we definitely booked our cabana after the deadline.

Are those the back pack things that spray steam? I saw those being used by NCL on the Pearl, in that CNBC special, Big Money on the High Seas.
I read they are bringing in a company from Florida that uses a special electrostatic disinfecting system to clean the ship.
-
I agree. It usually takes between 48 to 72 hours once exposed to get sick.
If they left on Tuesday and the majority got sick on Wednesday that sounds like food poisoning to me:confused:
Hoping everyone feels better soon!!:)
Liz
Actually I have read that the newer strain can have an incubation time as short as 8 hours.

Winter is definitely rougher than summer.
Except for those pesky hurricanes.:D

We have cabin 11709 for our cruise in june. How was the view? I'd like to be able to see at least part of the ocean.
Yes you can get a glimpse of the ocean when looking beyond the giant screens. The boardwalk can be a busy place during the day and evening, good for people watching.

Thanks Carol, our "appointment" time is 12:30 which is about the time we arrived the last time we cruised from Bayonne and it was a madhouse.
