  1. Yes, you read that right. InfantS.

My husband and I booked a 5 day cruise, heading to the Bahamas in mid-October and we're taking our will-be one year old twins with us! We're also bringing the grandparents since this will be our first official vacation since we had the babies.

I would love any and all reviews, suggestions, and tips from people who are just as insane as us to bring their one year olds on a cruise.

Things I'm looking for: What's one thing you wish you had brought? Or wish you didn't bring? Tips on packing light. The kind of stroller you brought. Are we insane to bring them off the ship?

Just some background, which might be helpful:

They were born prematurely, so I don't know if they'll be fully switched over to milk yet, so we're prepared to bring bottles and formula (our breastfeeding journey ended recently and our frozen BM stash is almost gone). We've already ordered bottled water to use. We'll also bring pureed food; just don't know how much at this point since they should be eating some finger foods by then (fruits, veggies, eggs, yogurt, dry cereal).

They are VERY well behaved, happy go lucky babies, so I don't see any problems or feel nervous about much. They are on a pretty good, semi-flexible schedule and we plan to stick with it as best as we can on the ship (we got YTD). Their enjoyment and happiness comes first; laying out on the lido, drinking a Corona light comes second.

Thanks in advance for your response!

Here are the loves of our lives, that we're pretty sure are going to be Platinum cruisers by the time they're 10 years old *fingers crossed*.

  2. Was looking to get information on the transfer from MCO to Port Canaveral offered by Carnival. We've been on Carnival many times but have never had to use their transportation. We recently purchased the pre-cruise transfer but it doesn't give us any information, other than they start at 10 a.m., which is over an hour after our flight arrives.

Can anyone tell me how it works? :D

How long do you have to wait for the shuttle? How early have you gotten on one of their shuttles? How early have you arrived to the port? Where does the shuttle pick you up at specifically from MCO?

It's our honeymoon and we purchased FTTF and would really like to be there by 11 a.m. We looked into doing a limo to treat ourselves, but it's 3 times the cost of the shuttle  .... kind of hard to justify but we're still thinking about it.

Any information is appreciated. ;) I just want to be prepared.

    Thanks!

  3. Hello all,

Was looking to get information on the transfer from MCO to Port Canaveral offered by Carnival. We've been on Carnival many times but have never had to use their transportation. We recently purchased the transfer but it doesn't give us any information, just a 'paid' ticket.

Can anyone tell me how it works? How long do you have to wait for the bus? How early have you gotten on one of the buses (our flight arrives at 9 a.m.)? How early have you arrived to the port? Where does the bus pick you up at specifically from MCO?

Any information is appreciated. I just want to be prepared :D Thanks!

  4. This time was no different we decided to rent with Sunshine Scooters because they had the best rates. I am so happy that we rented from them because they were so friendly. There is a van that will pick you up in the port area and then return you to the port when you are done with your car for the day. Our driver was Tommy Lee. He was absolutely wonderful...he even offered me a job if I move down to Key West. He said I could come work at Sunshine Scooters...sounds like a good offer to me[/size][/b]

I agree... Sunshine Scooters is THE BEST!!!! Loveeeee them :D We go straight there when in Key West for scoters, bikes, whatever. Awesome people!!

  5.

It was here that I discovered the gasolina drink. Nope, this isn't a Capri Sun. It's alcohol. Even better is the fact that it's only $2. At that price, give me a case! There are 5 different flavors. There's a little straw on the inside and you can drink it straight from the pouch, but a classy lady like myself chose to take my $2 drink on ice. :p
