  1. Speaking of lines...how is the line for breakfast burritos, compared to the often-long omelet lines?

I'll throw in my two cents on this. When we were on the Conquest a couple of weeks ago, the lines were never bad at Blue Iguana Cantina. When there was a line it moved pretty quickly. And the burritos were VERY filling. I was a big fan of the tacos!

You mentioned omelette Lines..I never found them to be long on this sailing. It seemed like they had maybe 7-8 different stations so people were spread out among all those. It was a nice change!

  2. If I remember correctly, years ago, this window served Asian food, but they haven't used it for anything in a while. I guess potential for future food!

I, like you, don't miss the Mongolian Wok (lines were always TOO long). However, I do miss ships having a dedicated Asian corner. I loved being ale to get some Asian food every day for lunch if I wanted.

Loving the review! We sailed on the Conquest the week of Christmas and really enjoyed looking at the pics on your website before we went.

  3. Thanx for this thread. Are the cabin doors metal, do magnets stick?

Anyone know if there is a soda machine? A few ships we have sailed has had them.

    Cindy

As I recall, magnets would not stick to the cabin door. And I never saw a soda machine.

And to homeofthedogs, The last time we were on the Legend the safes were the type that require a card swipe...but that was before the last drydock.

  4. the best advice for potty training I can give is make sure that your child see you and your husband on the potty. If its a male especially make sure he sees Dad using the potty. Also when they see other children using the potty they want to be big boys. My kids never like the little potty. They always wanted to use the big potty with a step stool. This is because they associate the big potty with people they admire.

In any event, some kids adapt easily others take longer. My first child was potty trained before he was 2 my second took to nearly age 3.

Couldn't agree more! Boys especially MUST see dad and my DS loved to go pee pee with Dad.

We starting sitting him on the potty when we would change a wet diaper. Eventually he started going on the potty and once we hit spring break (both of us are teachers) we went cold turkey off diapers and we never did pull-ups (more or less a glorified diaper...they don't feel they're wet as much...that's what they hate). We did a lot of naked butt the first couple of days.

Had several accidents the first week or so, but after that at home and at daycare it's been fairly smooth sailing.

He had been potty trained about 6-7 weeks before we took him on his first cruise last year. He did have 1 accident at Camp Carnival but that was because at that point he wasn't doing so hot at telling a stranger that he needed to go.

As someone said, every child is different so some are easier than others.

My other piece of advice is, once you go off diapers, don't go back (except at night).
