  1. We have used EZ Air a few times for international flights and have never had a problem. Yes, our flights have changed between booking and date of travel, but we tend to book as soon as the flights become available, so the airlines tend to refine their schedules over the months, not EZ Air's fault.

Not necessarily. Some cruise lines are blocking Wi Fi calling. Not sure if Princess is one of them.

Sometimes it iisn't the cruise line that is blocking wifi callling, but the cell provider. We used to have AT&T and we purchased our phones from someone other than AT&T, so it was unlocked, and they (AT&T) disabled wifi calling because we purchased our phone direct from the  manufacturer and not them.

its interesting that HAL and Seabourn have laundry by the bag, but princess does not.

It is, but Princess is also the only one of the 3 that has self-service laundry on every passenger deck of every ship. Also, Princess offers free laundry for eiltes and suites, but HAL does not.

    Hi there,

We have cruised Disney, NCL and P&O before but this year we have two Princess cruises booked, one on Enchanted in the med for two weeks and one on Island Princess for Norway in October. It will be interesting trying one of the oldest and newest ships.

I have three daughters and my eldest two are 18 and 17 and a half (15 month gap!!).

I just wondered if anyone had any tips for these ages to get the most out of particularly the med cruise which myself and my 17 year old chose after many hours of planning and searching together.

I saw in a video one person commenting that the adult only pool and gym is 16 plus? This would be helpful as she uses the gym a lot at school and she is keen to carry on whilst away, she is a very mature 17 year old. She is most excited about the ports and is spending a lot of time planning what we can do at them which is good as there are a lot of ports to visit!

For the 18 year old I feel like it might be challenging for her to meet other people her age as obviously she can't go to the club, I'm not sure the singles and solo travellers meetup is right for an 18 year old.

Tell your daughter to check the patter as they do have  meet ups for the 18-20 year old set. Keep in mind, thought, that, for cruises that happen during the school year (high school or college) there will be very few younger people on board.

What ship are you sailing?  We are boarding Sky Princess on 4 February and I chose my arrival time over a week ago.  Hope yours come available soon!

Sapphire. Someone else brought up on our roll call that they couldn't either, so hopefully soon.

I have filled out what information I can for being Ocean Ready-without an app. but can't find anyplace  for an arrival time. Do they not have this any more? Do we just show up anytime? Thanks for your help.

What is the date of your cruise? I am booked on a 5 February cruise and our arrival times are still not available.

Not true.  We have been on cruises from 7-28 days since the restart.  It still IS 15 per coffee package, not dependent on cruise length.  We buy the package so we will have enough for our total cruise.  For the 28 night cruise, I bought 2 packages.

Well, this is what the website says:

    • The package includes the pre-purchase of a specified number of specialty coffees (numbers vary by itinerary) during the voyage of purchase, as well as complimentary brewed coffee and hot chocolate.
    • Guests may redeem the number of specialty coffees purchased in the package in locations where espresso is available. This will include select bar and dining areas and varies by ship and/or itinerary.
    • Selections and service are limited to that venue’s menu offerings and operating hours.
  8. If you are looking at getting a coffee package, something to keep in mind. Back when you had a punch card, you got 15 specialty coffees, and unlimited brewed coffees as long as  you had a remaining punch. Since it went digital, the amount of specialty coffees that you get (and thus the price of the package) varies and is dependent on the length of the cruise.  I cannot tell you the numbers, but I do know that it is no longer a set amount.

  9. Currently only 1 as we have some things happening this year that will need our attention.

February-Sapphire in S. America. Can I say PENGUINS! Multi-generational trip consisting of my in-laws, my husband and myself, our 2 sons (both in 20's) and our older son's girlfriend. First cruise for the girlfriend.

Thanks for your response. We are boarding in BA. I’m wondering if there’s a difference between Chili vs Argentina, or different cruiseline protocols.

It can also have to do with the length of cruise. Cruises under 16 days, for the most part, do not need to test, but cruises 16 days and over do. Also, if a 14 day itinerary can be booked as either a 14 day or a longer day, they will probably make everyone test prior to boarding.

I feel your pain.  We are cruising on Costa Fortuna out of Buenos Aires, Argentina in March and I am getting mixed signals/answers.   Basically, some places say in order to take a cruise out of South America, ALL ADULTS must have a COVID test at least 24 hours pre-embarkation or they will be denied boarding however, I was looking at this cruise on another website and it specifically says that COVID testing is only required for those who do not have vaccines and boosters and vaccinated adults do not need pre-cruise tests.   We are fully vaccinated and have had 3 boosters each at this point with our most recent one being in October.

The Costa website and emails are not helpful and simply say they are staying on top of the changes.  Umm... okay... but we are like 60 days out at this point.    When it gets closer to time, I suppose I will call them.   The thing with us is...  we embark the boat around 4pm (???) I don't know... at some point on March 10th we will be allowed onboard.  Our flight arrives into Argentina at 7am that morning (debarkation/sailing time was moved from 4pm to 7pm).  We don't know how early we can get onboard the ship on the 10th.... but we leave Miami (straight flight) at 8pm THE EVENING PRIOR so  If we are going to get a COVID test, we'll have to do it in the Miami airport around 2-4pm or so??  I mean... that's more than 24 hours or we will be possibly cutting it really close.... but we have no other choice.  Unless they are going to offer COVID tests at embarkation, this all seems like a mess.

    How long is your cruise?

  12. If you are flying into port and not purchasing your flights through Princess realize that the insurance through Princess only covers what was booked through Princess, so if you got your flights separately, their insurance will not cover them.

On the Sky Princess last week, it never showed where our companions were, even though they were added by booking number, and it constantly showed my husband was in our cabin, even if he was standing next to me by an elevator several floors away! Useless.

When you added your companions booking numbers, did they accept it? In order for you to be able to see their location they need to allow you to do so, otherwise you are just traveling companions whom you are sharing tables with and such.

Not sure what Princess actually want…the information for my cruise, with ‘enhanced procedures’ doesn’t make sense as it says firstly that medically observed tests are required, the next line shows home tests are fine. I posted on  the South America board..you might want to look.

Spoke to travel agent who contacted Princess who said tests not needed !!!!

I think this is totally wrong, as somewhere else it says cruises over 18 days need medically observed tests…….so not a clue where we stand. Will contact Princess again closer to Sail date…wish they realised how much stress they are causing with their unclear posts !!!!!!!!!

Tests 16 days and over still requiring testing. Also, from what I saw,  there is one 14 day that is requiring testing because it can be booked as a 14 day or a 33 day, so everyone needs to be tested.

  15. One one of the Princess passenger facebook pages someone said that they fell/heard a jolt in the middle of the night, and the next morning the announcement was made. Another passenger said that they didn't feel/hear anything. Anyway, there was some discussion that many believe that the ship hit something.
