  1. Hi everyone! thanks for all the great answers! I will book the 12h50 flying out LGA and yes, I have travel insurance. Looking at your answers, NCL maybe not the best option. I thought that they would be faster but doesn't seem so as they wait for everyone to be onboard a full bus before going.

@mking8288, I didn't knew about Dial 7 or Cabify for Portugal. I will look at this option. Otherwise, I will take an Cab or an Uber.

    Thanks a lot everyone!

  2. Hello,

We booked a transatlantic from Lisbon to NYC in November to complete our Portugal trip. We are suppose to arrive at 7am.  I'm currently looking at booking my return flight to Quebec City. The choice is at 12h50 or 21h00 at night. I'm sure we will be beat from the travel and will want to be home early and really prefer the 12h50.  Can someone remember how late should be a flight to be able to book an NCL transfer? Otherwise, do you think we can do it comfortably by our own? do you have suggestion for us.  Anyone remember the price of the transfer? Thanks!

I depart two weeks from today.  I still don't have a boarding time assigned.  My boarding pass says "To Be Assigned."  The Navigator App shows "Invalid DateTime."   Is it waiting for me to do the health assessment?  Are others having to wait until the last minute to get their boarding time?  It is challenging to finalize the arrival plans, when I don't know what time to arrive.

Hello, we board in 2 weeks too from Quebec. I was like you as I had no assigned time. Saturday, I decided to go back to each screen of my check-in and save again. I even do a small modification in one. The next morning I received a notification of my boarding time as been changed. I don't know if that because of that or just coincidence.

I live in Quebec City and I think I got the last boarding group. Group H 2:20 pm.

  4. I currently have Covid too. For me it's not fun at all. I hope you are better. I don't know where you are but in Quebec we can have free box of 5 rapid antigen test from the pharmacist. I intend to test myself with it at day 11 and so on until I'm negative , this way this will ease the same fear I have. I'm cruising in September also.

The problem with the home test is that we don't have a paper showing that we got COVID (we cannot get free PCR here except if you are health workers). If after day 13 I'm still positive, I will pay and get a medically observed antigen test or PCR to show that I have Covid to get a certificate with the date. That way, I will be able to prove that I have COVID for more than 15 days before my cruise and get the exception. It's plan B and I hope I won't have to do that.

  5. It will be our fist cruise with Carnival next month on the Dream. My daughter has autism and she love movies. I was wondering if someone can explain me how is the environnement during movie night. Before talking to her about it, I want to be sure that she will be able to assist. Is it very loud? do we need to go early to get a chair? Is a lot of people still talking arround and not listen to the movie? Where is the best place to sit? How to get the popcorn? Thanks a lot!

  6. Hello, if you are on the July 8th cruise like us, please look at your accomodation rapidly. There is a music festival in town and all the hotels were fully booked months ago. Many of us had to book hotels 1 hour away from downtown. Good luck!

  7. Thank you for your hard work on the video and review.

You cannot guess how happy I was when I open the Aruba board and see your name at the top! I knew that you have posted great information. I was not disappointed! :D

I'm stopping there in October on my Panama cruise from 8am to 8 pm. We both like to snorkeling but I don't think that we will only do that on that day as we will be in port for 12 hours.

    1. Seem like baby beach is the place to go. Have you take some taxi? if so, were they expensive? I'm not good in geography as I cannot figure where you stayed vs the cruise port, is it going to take longer or shorter than 45 minutes to go there in taxi from the port?

    2. What other land activities did you prefer?

    3. which of your underwater camera did you use?

    thanks!

  8. We took a food tour in PV and it was great. It's walking tour in the old part of the city and we hit everything from street food to fancy restaurant and included some of the history. We used Valarta Food Tours. You'd have to take a taxi to the start point and check to make sure the timing works for you. We found our that ship time was different than local time and made it just in time.

We are going to PV in October on an HAL cruise and I already book a food tour with them. Reading your post, I'm a bit scare now. I didn't thought that we could not be on the same time as local time.

We are schedule to arrive at 10 and I reserved a tour at 11. What was your cruise line and what was the difference between the ship time and the local time? Also, can you tell me how much time did it take to go downtown in taxi? Thanks a lot!

  9. I'm book on the October 5th Panama Canal 16 days cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam starting in San Diego. On the time of the booking, I didn't realise that this cruise was part of a longer cruise, the September 30th Panama cruise starting in Vancouver.

It's my first time beeing in this situation. Usually, on the first day on NCL (first time on HAL), you can go book your specialities restaurants, your excursions, they have tours showing the boat, buying wine bundle and mostly you can go buy the thermal suite pass.

Is it going to be the same experience or all of that will be already be done in Vancouver? Are we going to have sail away party?

I'm most interrest in the thermal suite pass. Is there any chance that there is still some spot available? We doesn't seem to be able to reserve it online. I would have prefer booking it inboard as to use some of my OBC. What do you suggest?

Also, I read that San Diego can be a difficult port to embark. Do you think that would be the same if many people will embark on Vancouver?

    Thanks!

  10. Don't bother with the previous poster, so rude. Thanks for this details review, I really enjoyed it. We are going on a Panama cruise in October. I would like more information about your Costa Rica private tour. Can you share with me your itinerary as you didn't seem to have done the 10 in 1 tour by Odyssey. I also love to take pictures and I wish to be able to see a Toucan. Do you have tips for me? Would you have done something differently?

    Thanks!
