We were on the second leg of your voyage and also loved the Divina. We have been on the Opera and the Poesia and they were wonderful as well. I see the Divina catering to the American market and I have to say I loved it more in the European fashion. Still wonderful though.
WE are booked on the Divina for the April 11 sailing to Bermuda. Come join us.

Only one night the wk. of Sept. 13. It is not a ship that is focused on karaoke.
-
I only went to one but iirc they had two a day.... One around 11 ish and the other at 3:30. It was in one of the bars and I believe on deck 7.
Questions were mostly what does this word mean. So...I guess study a dictionary. [emoji2]
Supposedly they did have other categories but we were only there once. I'm sure someone else can elaborate.
They have general trivia. I thought the questions were fair and varied.

Correct Maureen. The only "Happy Hour" specials advertised in The Daily's is for The Casino. Example: Join the fun from 1:00pm to 4:00pm! Play Roulette for as little as $0.50; or Blackjack, Easy Stud Poker, Five Card Stud Poker and Extreme Poker for a $3.00 stake. The above example was taken from Sunday's Daily.
The drink special is just a reduced price for the special drink of the day. Example:
Alcoholic Cocktail: Purple Rain $6.25 Non-Alcoholic Cocktail: Dirty Banana Shake $3.75.
That's just luring them into the casino, not a special. The packages can't be beat.
-
The complimentary ones in the machine on the Divina were - orange, cranberry, pineapple, then iced tea, hot water, coffee, and tea bags and cocoa.
Don't know about the packages, but the I do know they had coke products as one of our friends only drinks diet Coke.

The cheese cake was great as the Crème Brule. (sp.)
I felt the food was good for mass market and they are catering to the American Market more, not everything is pasta as we had on the Poesia and Opera. I however, love the Italian flair. All was great for me. What's not to like on a cruise?

7 a.m. that's the time. Go to the buffet at 6 for chow.
-
Yikes! I'm used to 8 - 8:30am. When must we be off the ship?
Finding it difficult to fill up the time between disembarktion and departure flight without bliwing $100+.
The last area was called at 10:30, but I don't know if there is anything for you to do other than read a book.
-
Is there any place on board to get Popcorn?
Didn't see any.
-
We will only have carry on luggage. But our flight does not depart until 3:30pm from Miami.
Out of cabins by 7 a.m. There will be breakfast.
-
Moondance, thank you for all the info.
We would like to self assist off the ship also. Could you please tell me which deck the exit is on. Also are the elevators very crowded that morning with people lugging their suitcases to breakfast and then off the ship? Thanks again!
Deck 5. Elevators are busy, so forget breakfast and go to your assigned area.
You will be off about 7.

We had a wonderful time; the size of the cabin was more of a source of amusement than anything else. The issue was that we have taken many cruises and know to do our research, but this time (and for the first time) the cabin was not as represented in the descriptions and photos that we saw individually and repeatedly. We spent the week joking about, "Where is my chair?", so it will be fun to see whatever differences between cabins there might be. My SO wants me to ask if the chair is there at the expense of having no fridge/minibar, but I don't want to push my luck :D
Like many of the lines, they have multiple configurations so it is always a surprise. I booked my next cruise w/ them through a TA from MSC. I think they are the folks that know the ship the best.

We are in cabin 11103 on our Oct 25th sailing, I will try to reach over and snap some pics for you, maybe boarding day before someone occupies that cabin...I will do my best:)
Thanks. I just got off of the Divina. Do not miss the Golden Jazz Lounge listening to Shepard and Green. A husband and wife, very talented.
Great cruise.

We have one of these angled balconies booked for our upcoming cruise and are really looking forward to all that room. DH is a melanoma survivor so we want the shade. We plan on asking for a couple loungers if there aren't any there when we get on board.
Enjoy your cruise!
Trish
Thanks. I don't usually book early out, but I wanted to do the Bermuda cruise and didn't want to get a cabin not to my liking.
-
Any input on this cabin? I do not care about a lot of sun as I live in sunny Florida. MY TA at MSC recommended this cabin, looks like a large balcony. This is for the Bermuda sailing April 11, 2015.
Thanks in advance,
Joybaby

Yes, that is the chair we are looking for. The cabin on deck nine was too small for that chair, we could barely squeeze between the end of the bed and the minibar. I don't know how it could be possible, but the previous cabin was shorter than the one pictured. Thanks so much for your help. The MIA chair was a joke for the entire week in May :p
I was on deck 12 midship, interior and there was no chair or oval table, It was tight bet. the bed and the minibar. We didn't spend much time in the room and we adjusted just fine.

We did self assist. We were meeting at 6:45 and they called us 5 mins. later and we went right through customs since we were early, in our car at 7:10.
Very organized.
Breakfast starts at 6 but we only went for a cup of java, then stopped for breakfast on the way home.

Thanks Maryann2, I guess everyone loves the pizza. That's a big thing for us because we find it very difficult to get good pizza here in NC. I will try and get seating at the back, sounds like a nice spot. I don't think anyone uses trays anymore, oh well. I think we will just stay on board in Falmouth as I have heard the same things you say about it. We are scheduled for early seating for dinner but may try and change it to late. As usual, early is too early and late is too late. Can't win! And early dining means missing sail-away!
How full was your sailing? Was it always crowded?? Should we show up at the port around 11AM? That's what we usually do.
Thanks, Bob
ps - We did an Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver last year and absolutely loved Vancouver!!!
I just got off also. I did early dining as late did not start until 8:45, a good choice for me as an American. The show was at 9 and then time to go to a lounge for a drink. We loved Shepard in Green in the Golden Jazz. They are full of talent.
Pre dinner we loved the Silver Lounge, deck 6, open deck looking down on deck 5 to hear the Amsterdam Trio. Quiet area for a pre cocktail.

Thank youm joybaby and mike! I thought i was going to get flamed - big time!
We are on Divina for the sept 27 departure and will report back with out impressions after we return.
You will love it! Top shelf in all ways.
-
We are booked in 11138 (3 passengers so must have at least a triple). Any thoughts on this stateroom would be appreciated! It seems like a fairly good location based on the deck plan, but I'm a bit concerned about noise level (especially since it looks like it could have an adjoining room). Any thoughts/experiences?
I just got off of the Divina, one deck up, same location. No problems with noise.

To buy the package prior to sailing is so much easier and relaxed. The price is great, - why take booze on board???
I loved going to the lounges and giving them a ticket from my package that I bought prior to sailing.
-
[
Yes, If you buy a glass of wine, they add 15%
Do the math - 15 drinks $4.60 drink, if you buy it bef. you sail.
-
I have pre ordered 3 of the books that have 15 vouchers for classic alcohol drinks. $72 each. On my invoice that was sent to me email, each of the three items shows as this:
SWEET - ALLEGRISSIMO ESCAPE | per person $72,00
Is that the correct thing? The name of it makes me think it's some kind of desert package or something. NOT what I want, for sure!
I just came off and that is the package I bought. That is for booze or other items. They will give it to you in the casino the day you embark. Take your cruise care with you for proof.
-
Welcome home Joy!!! Hope you had a wonderful trip!!! Would love to know if you were able to upgrade your stateroom.:)
Nada. I only asked, they said NO. Our friends asked and they offered them an upsell of $1050 for the Yacht Club. :D
We had a great time.
Are you following the Bermuda thread???
MSC questions

As Mike said, book w/ MSC directly. I booked with a TA here in FL and although he knows many lines, he never had booked MSC before. He said I knew more than he did after I read so much on Cruise Critic. My forthcoming cruise I booked with MSC, the agent will be in FL. They will be able to help you make a choice on a cabin and can answer your questions. It is an outstanding line in my opinion, so good luck.
