There was a thread here a couple of years ago about a hotel in FLL that Princess was operating (I think).  It was very short-lived.  I just tried to Google it but could not come up with a good search term.

I think that thread referred to a resort in SoCalif not Florida ... and, yes, it sounded interesting.

We are experienced cruisers, mostly celebrity but royal, disney, and carnival too.

new to princess!  We love the suite experience on celebrity, MOSTLY due to a dedicated restaurant.

I am sure a princess suite is larger than a standard balcony cabin, but what else?

What do we get in a suite experience? Likely on crown (we know about the propulsion problems)

    Thanks in advance

Have you reviewed the Princess website -- or done a search here -- to see the suite goodies?

It only happened to us once in 30 days so it wasn't a major problem.

Watching the busy bartenders, it's apparent how it could have occurred.  They're in such a rush during the day, the new billing system they've created takes to long to input each individual order so they accumulate paper tickets until a slow period when they can enter them.

I actually saw the crew one afternoon on the Enchanted who lost a "bunch" of the paper tickets before they were entered. They were going crazy looking through the garbage can for them. I suppose all those people received free drinks.

Entertaining to watch ... but no way to run a business.

Do club class rules state you cannot invite guests to dine with you if they are not in a CC cabin?

We usually book the kids in an oceanview or obs balcony and are wondering if we book CC can we eat together.   If  not, we'll book a normal mini.

I ask because we booked CC once and based on the conversations at the next table, (tables were very close together so we all just started to chat...)  it appeared that one couple were CC and the other were their guests, however they may have also been CC for all I know.

    Thanks!

My understanding is that only those booked in club class minis or full suites are permitted to dine in the CC section of the MDR.

But you can join others in their area of the MDR

  5. For a very long time, even before Covid, Princess has branded itself as a Premium cruiseline.

Many comments on this board take aim at changes Princess has made:  cutbacks, the Captains Circle perks, the Medallion program, food selection and quality and preparation, policy enforcement (MDR attire and environmental compliance, for instance).

Is it time for Princess to reassess their premium brand?

azbirdmom pricing is about the same as what I had been seeing (previous to the lack of pricing today).

Maybe those who live in VA have some special rates you can get that are not available elsewhere.

In Illinois tho not logged in, I get same as you ... no pricing available ... hard to fill ships if entire groups can't access pricing.

A month ago, food on the Majestic was fine... Food on the Island right now is... Questionable. I wouldn't say it's BAD (I haven't gotten sick, and I can get it down), but there are definitely preparation decisions that make me wonder.

More importantly, can you keep it down?

I just thought about something.  Given all the discussion about the toilets overflowing, flooding in the halls, etc.  Where are the pics and videos?  I've searched all the social medial sites, youtube and nothing.  Not even so much as a wet floor cone. Absolutely nothing.

I mean come one... people record EVERYTHING now a days.  Every waking moment of some people is video or photos taken.  Suspicious that nothing on this out there.

    Weird.

I do believe they had a toilet clog issue (I saw posted somewhere that a guest flushed a wash cloth down the toilet), but I think this issue was resolved rather quickly and only affected a small group of people for a short time - maybe a day.  Which yes is awful and I would consider a major inconvenience.  But, some people are carrying on like the ship almost met the fate of the Titanic.

Given most people on the cruise (2200) haven't really complained and a small group (I've only seen less than a dozen myself), I don't think this really was that bad at all.

I think this is a group of people trying to gin this up into something bigger.  For what reason I'm not sure, gold digging, axe grinding, trolling, boredom?  Who knows?

But, given what I've read, I've seen, the lack of photo/video evidence.  I think the plumbing issue on the May 7th sailing was a very small problem that was fixed rather quickly and really will be a non-issue going forward.  (Unless a guest flushes a towel again).

First ... it's only a very small problem if it does not impact you personally.

Second ... it isn't merely towels and washcloths that are problematic.

Apparently WIPES (even tho the pkg says they're flushable) cause HUGE problems at land and sea ... why else would our last captain Feb 2020 stress in his welcome msg not to flush them?

Nobody will know until they announce it. But there seems to be a trend towards moving away from any sort of guarantees related to covid.  My money is on that being the end of it.

Further, I would think Princess is hoping to get cash in house for bookings ... FCCs for  cancellatons often represent $$$ Princess already has spent.
