Short answer is 21, however when sailing from a country where the age is lower - you need to fill out / sign the form linked below

    https://www.celebritycruises.com/content/dam/celebrity/pdf/Alcohol_Waiver_Celebrity.pdf

Thank you. I had read on some cruiselines the waiver limits to wine and beer (which my kids do not enjoy) - don't see any mention of limitation of types of alcohol if waiver is signed.... mixed alcohol drinks such as mojito's, pina colada's, etc are more to all of our liking.

  2. We are in Canada and the drinking age here is 18/19 depending on your province. No drinking at all on a cruise is a deal breaker for my older children. We are looking at Med cruises with Celebrity or Royal Caribbean for next summer (2021) - at that time they would be 18 and 20.5 yrs old.

What are the rules for drinking on ship? Would be a med cruise like Spain/Italy/Greece.

    Thanks

  3. April we have a bit of a wait between when we will get off of our cruise ship and when we will need to get to the airport. We are flying into Toronto so I'm assuming we will need to be at the airport about 2 1/2 hours pre-flight. That gives us about 4-5 hours to amuse ourselves (with our luggage).

Any suggestions @ Port Everglades in FLL? We are sailing with Celebrity and none of their excursions really interest us for the price. Any resort for the day deals or other things we aren't aware of? The luggage is the big issue - hating the thought of dealing with it but we are Air Canada and can't valet the luggage from the ship.

    thanks

  4. Anyone that has done this workshop - is it worthwhile? I see it as an option to purchase for a sea day. Light meal with it as it is a food and wine pairing or what can we expect? Leave full and need to book a later supper? or just a taste?

    Thanks

  5. If we book an excursion that is NOT through Celebrity... what is the soonest and most likely latest time we will be able to tender since we will not take priority (we are in a regular IV balcony cabin)? Before I book with Stingray Sailing for Grand Cayman I want to be sure it is entirely feasible to not miss the start time? Email from Stingray Sailing shows us meeting at Royal Watler pier at 11:45am LOCAL time and it says that may or may not be the same time as ship time. New to this so I don't know....

Any thoughts? Anyone been on Edge do this excursion and have no troubles getting off the ship by tender in lots of time?

    thanks

  7. We are looking into booking them also, for our April 2020 date there. Glad to see they come recommended. What is the walk like from tender area to wherever you meet them to start excursion - is it long/complicated? Never been to GC before

Day 8 – Fort Lauderdale   Our meeting place was in the Club at 8:15.  We ate breakfast in the Cosmopolitan MDR and then went to check in.  We were called around 8:30 and debarkation was a breeze. Our luggage was waiting for us so we grabbed it and headed for the exit! With the facial recognition we just walked up and they verified it was us and we walked out of the terminal because we didn’t have anything to declare.  We were escorted to our tour bus where the driver separated our luggage by airport and left shortly thereafter.  Our tour guide, Bonnie, was wonderful.  She gave us lots of history of the area while we were driving.  We went to Sawgrass Recrational Park for our airboar ride.  In addition we saw some gators who had been rescued and also another area with rescued animals such as panthers, snakes, a porcupine, etc.  We heard from guides in both areas.  Next, we boarded our airboats – much bigger than we expected.  They fit around 40 people each.  The captain was hoping to find us an alligator to see.  We didn’t realize this was the goal of the trip lol.  We lived in Houston for 30 years and have seen a few gators just walking in our neighborhood!  We were lucky and saw 2 of them while we were out.  The trip before us didn’t find any.  After the airboat ride, we were driven to our final stop.  I can't remember the name of it, we think it was something with Long Key in the name. There was a museum which showed what happened when they drained the swamps to the Native Americans and wildlife.  There was also a nature trail you could walk to see some beautiful old oak trees and other local plants.  We were driven to FLL and had enough time to grab lunch at the airport before we caught our flight home.  It was a great week on the Edge.  Beautiful ship, top notch staff from the Captain on down.  Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to answer.

What time was your flight back from FLL and what time did you get to the airport from this excursion? We are looking for something to do between disembarking and our 3pm Toronto flight.

We did it last month on the Constellation. It was $39.00 per person. It is not available on all ships. It depends on local customs regulations. Were told that at ports where the passenger total has to be zeroed out they don't have it. We were at AbuDhabi so had no problem. You get tags for luggage and put it out at night. Were able to stay on the ship until 3pm. Unless you are in a suite anything you purchase like drinks was charged to you credit card on file. In suites you can stay in Micheals club otherwise any public areas. Still have to be out of your room by 8 am. You do have to keep your hand luggage with you, no place to store it.

$39. wow prices must vary by ship. We are on the Edge in March and they are listing it as over $110Canadian per person.

  10. We had ours narrowed down to the same 2 ships. Never been on either. We ended up booking Edge b/c the ship looked like a "destination"... lots of new innovative stuff happening on it so it was a good fit (hopefully) for us. The Equinox has a huge fan base though and i don't think you can go wrong on either. Hopefully someone can offer feedback that has been on both. We are going on Edge end of March 🙂

  11. Looking for anyone that has done this. We are on the March 29th sailing and don't fly back to toronto until 3:30ish. Thinking this might be a nice option but I want to know the ins and outs of it before we consider. Mostly I want to know how our morning goes

    ie:

do we have to put out all luggage the night before or keep it and walk off with it in the morning to clear customs?

how long will the "get off and then back on the ship process" take?

do you have access to somewhere to change into clothes if you are at pool area until departure for flight?

other than drink pkg (classic) what areas is there access to food?

    thanks.

    This part of the memo:

What happens to guests that paid to upgrade from 2 – 4 perks who already had the
Premium Beverage Package during the periods of 10/10 – 11/26/19?

    A. Guests will receive an Onboard Credit of $14 per day. Guests who qualify for this onboard
credit must have booked under promo names 4PERKS or 4PERKS NRD during the offer period
    of Oct 10 to Nov. 25,, 2019.

That sounds like if I bought 4 Perks during that date range, and it shows on my invoice as one of those promo names, I'll get OBC of $14 per day, per person?  Is that right?

Does anyone know if this would be automatic or would we have to call to request it? Curious how they will handle that.

Of course, I'm pretty likely to reprice my 2021 cruises between now and sailing, so maybe I shouldn't worry about it. But if the prices just go up between now and final payment, hopefully this would be automatically applied?

Wondering the same. We repriced during Veterens' day sale for our March sailing on Edge with the 4 perks NRD code... wondering if we will see OBC and is it per day/per person or just per day/per cabin? We transferred our booking to a Travel agent so i don't know whether to call and ask Celebrity or if I have to get my TA to do it ...or if it will just happen automatically (where would i see that online?)

I can only answer about the waffles, which were delicious in the Oceanview Café.

We had select dining so getting to the shows was easy...we worked our dinnertime around whichever show we wanted to see.

Enjoy Edge...I am only off for eight days and am suffering severe post Edge syndrome!

We have select dining too - what time would work for meals if you want to do the early or late shows? We currently have reservations at MDR's for 6:30 mostly and 7:30 a couple nights... i'm assuming those would be fine to get to the late show. One night the earliest Finecuts reservation we could snag was 8:30...for that night would we have time to do the early shows?
