Thanks, all. Forgive my questions again but when I post a link to a pic and it posts in my post as an image, does each view of my review count as a view on Photobucket? I have been using the Internet forever but have always been able to just directly upload things so I've never dealt with this! Thanks.
Yes, unless the same person views and they have cached the image. Each view uses bandwidth. Better to shrink the photos to something like 800px wide before uploading.
I'm going to give Dropbox http://db.tt/kETORoYK a try with a public folder.

Funny to read about Tortuga Rum Cake only being available there. I remember going scuba diving in the Caymans back in the late '80's and it was all the rage. Now, local stores here in the states sell it.

The Hard Rock is a joke of a casino so I'm not sure why you would bring the bottom of the totem pole up?
Maybe because they're an example of a casino with no competition. If they thought drinks would make them more money they'd be handing them out. They're already running the most profitable casino per square foot in the world.
-
No, it's like $3 per point. Those free drinks will cost most players plenty.
Or, nothing more than they were planning on risking anyway. That's why they call it gambling and not winning.
-
Vegas has figured that out...I'm really surprised the cruise ships haven't
Vegas only does it because of competition. Otherwise the Hard Rock would do it all their casinos in Florida. One of them in Hollywood does to try and draw more players and the other doesn't because they have no competition.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if the casino were the largest generator of profit on the average cruise. The "free" drinks are supplied to help reduce people's judgment and further increase profits.
I would bet ;) booze far exceeds casino revenue.
-
Can anyone tell me the ships this program isn't in? I do not have a facebook account, so I couldn't use the link supplied by one poster.
You don't need to be a facebook member to read John's FB page. I've logged out of FB and read it.

Makes me think about the fact that we DO get free drinks...when shopping for jewelry in the ports........DH always says THOSE are the most expensive free drinks he has during the cruise. ;)
The spa could take a lesson from those shops.

Upon boarding the Dream in Dec., I had a letter waiting in my cabin asking me to stop in the casino and get my "drinks on us" card! I was very surprised - didn't have to play a dollar! (of course, I did play many on the rest of the cruise!:D) It was based on my past play. I drink very little, but it was still nice getting a drink for free when I wanted it! (and yes, I got waaay over 1,500 pts on the rest of the cruise!)
Did the card have your name on it?
-
Would it be possible to put $1500 on to your casino account, then withdraw it and still have the points?;)
You get points for the money you play, not the money in your account.
-
It is absolutely possible. At video poker, it would be more than 500 hands. But...
ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE.
And it's possible the sun will explode tomorrow.
-
It is certainly possible.
It's virtually impossible to lose $1,500 on slots and not accumulate 1,500 points. If it was a dollar slot and you wagered $3 each spin that would be 500 spins and you would have to lose almost every one of them. Not even an even money win, a $5 or $10 win in all 500 spins.
-
A point is more than a buck - BUT - it is not based on how much you win or lose, but how much you play. You could win or lose more than $1500 and not have 1500 points, or you could be even and have over 1500 points.
It would be pretty tough to lose $1,500 and not have 1500 points unless you never got a single winning spin on the slots.

Will it be fleet wide?? I know some on conquest were dissapointed last time that it wasnt on conquest.

Great review! Wish you were coming on the Legend in May so I would know I could find a dance partner in the club. Was on Imagination in Nov. and had a great time, as usual.

I agree, who wants to iron on vacation. Leave the iron at home and do not endanger others.
I think all the fires have been started by candles or cigarettes, but, all they need to do is pack the clothes individually in dry cleaner bags.
-
Does anybody have any good tips on where I can hide a travel iron in my luggage for the cruise??? We've always traveled with an iron in our luggage and have never in the past had any problems with taking the iron onboard. Our last cruise, they took away the iron and left it at the port for us to pick up on our way out/home. Can I wrap it good in something? pack it in the middle of some stuff good enough to hide it?!?!
A lead-lined suitcase the x-rays can't see.
-
If you go to the Rum runner site, it says (for cruising we recommend placing the Flasks on the bottom of the checked bag). So to place it dead center was not the right thing to do
It doesn't matter where you place them now. The new x-rays scan from multiple angles. It's just a matter of how rushed they are when checking whether they see yours on the scanner or not. Like craps, some people get lucky and roll the dice 50 times but eventually the dice come up 7 and eventually they will spot your stash no matter how many times you were lucky in the past.

How do you re-cork and foil?? :)
On a lot of bottles, if you just grab the entire capsule and don't tear it, you can slide it off and then back on again.
There is a two prong wine cork puller that doesn't leave a hole in the cork as well.

Did this come with the hard liner or just as it is. A lot of the ones I am seeing come with the hard liner so I don't think they'd be waterproof without it.
Would be a good idea to look for the word "leak proof" somewhere. I bought a Corona cooler at Walgreens in Las Vegas and it leaked like a sieve. Then I noticed the liner wasn't sealed on the inside. Always wondered if the room on the floor below got wet or if the carpet soaked it all up.

the ice will last 2-3 days if you keep it closed.
But, I want to take some drinks out! ;)

Here's the one I got at BJ's for $10. Although I don't think they sell it anymore, or at least, last time I was there they didn't have them. Maybe they'll come back for spring.

Didn't leak and didn't sweat. Folded up nice and flat for my suitcase and became padding for stuff in the suitcase going home.
Found it on Amazon:

What size of polarbear cooler can you take on the boat? The 6 pack or 12 pack one?? I was wanting to order the 12 pack one, but didn't know if it would be too big and didn't want it to get confiscated. Thanks!
Put it in your checked luggage.

Got a nice, fairly large, cooler from BJ's with a canvas exterior. Heavy plastic lining and really keeps the ice for a couple of days, as long as it's not sitting in the sun. Was only about $10. Folds flat to fit in my luggage. Get's just a little damp on the bottom. Will only leak through the top zipper if I tip it. Also has a small sandwich size side zipper (try saying that three times fast) pouch to keep dry stuff.
