Sitting at fll airport due to flight delays. Ugh! BW was good old school hotel. Clean and friendly. Took $1 trolley to Winn Dixie, Ross, Dollar Tree and more all right together. Close to beach as said. Would stayvafain if looking for very basic hotel. Pool was fine and as previously said on here, bar and restaurant onsite. Best Cuban sandwich ever had. Uber cheaper and fine rather than taxi. Next time will stay at Embassy Suites as so close to all you need in walking distance but not steps from beach. You choose and either good depending on what important to you. [emoji41]/

We have stayed at the Embassy in the past. We did like it, and would stay there again if only planning on a night or two. This time, however, we are planning on staying for 4 nights, so wanted to stay closer to the ocean.

DH and I will be on our first cruise on the Equinox. Scheduled date is June 29, 2019, Western Caribbean. We will be in a balcony cabin, deck 7, starboard side.

What are some fun things on the Equinox, some things not to be missed, and some things to avoid. Looking forward to hints and suggestions. Thanks.

Are there bathroom facilities on the Water Taxi?

How difficult is it to get an Uber at a Ft. lauderdale hotel, and be dropped off at the port in Ft. Lauderdale, for a cruise?

Are there bathrooms on the catamaran?

No food on the train. They will give you a bottle of water.

Booked the White Pass through Celebrity, bottled water was not offered.

I called Celebrity to get my balcony storeroom changed. While doing so, I asked if there were ny price changes. The price on my balcony storeroom dropped in my upcoming cruise in July of 2019 on the Equinox, by $100.00 per person, and there was a military discount increase. At the time of booking, the discount was $50 per person, when the agent checked, the discount went up to $150 per person. Total price decrease was $200 per person, or $400 for the storeroom.

Excellent news. I had a paper straw in Hawaii, it was absolutely fine. Happy to see this change.

I will have the internet package for my upcoming Celebrity cruise. Will I be able to text family back home on my cell phone during the cruise, while keeping the phone in airplane mode, or should I communicate via instant messenger?

There are currently 29 starboard 2B cabins available on deck 7 and 10 starboard 1B cabins available on deck 8.

Thanks, I will try again. May have been a web site glitch. All cabins were showing to be not available over the weekend. I even tried searching by room numbers.

What category? Both Celebrity's website and my "big box" warehouse store TA's website are showing many balcony cabins from deck 6 to deck 12, port and starboard available from 2D through A1!

Deck 7 category B balconies were not available when I checked over the Memorial Day weekend.

I m booked on th Equinox for June 29, 2019. I wanted to try to change my balcony cabin. I am cu currently on port side, and wanted to change to starboard side. I noticed the same thing. Most balcony cabins are already booked. There is nothing in my category available to change to.

I have another question. Can you see the ships departing in the evening from the Best Western beach area?

How close is the beach from the Best Western Oceanside Plus Inn in Ft. Lauderdale? And how close is it to Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park.

Are there any good restaurants in walking distance? We would be interested in a good steakhouse, sea food, and maybe Italian.

How far away is the Sun Trolly and Water Taxi?

We are planning to stay there for 4 nights in June prior to our cruise. We will not have a car, nor do we want to rent one.

Also, those of you who have stayed there, were you happy with the hotel? What did you like, and what did you not like.

Correct re Cabin card but never asking for our drivers license or other ID.

DH and I have been asked for government issued photo I'D - passport or drivers license - to get through the security gates to get back on the ship several times in Caribbean ports, (Nassau each time we visit there), and in Victoria, (British Columbia, Canada). But to actually get back on the ship, we only needed our ship card.

Is International Pier the same pier used by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line?

Has anyone recently done the Discover Best of Mexico Past and Present excursion offered by Norwegian Cruise Line. We will be in Cozumel in July. I have several questions:

1. What is the transportation like, and how long does it take to get from the ship to the excursion?

2. Are tour buses air conditioned? Overly crowded?

3. Is there a lot of walking? If so, is it easy walking, or a lot of hills and steps?

4. Are there shops, or places to get water?

We love just spending hours there and it gives us a nice break from taking tours.

I assume the ship will be clean, tasty food will be available, an activity or two will be there for me to participate, and that staff will be pleasant and capable.

I have heard that NCL charges a gratuity for each drink even when you have the package.

No, they do not. When you opt for the beverage package as . A perk (free), you will have to pay the 20 percent gratuity at time of booking. You do not get charged a gratuity on each individual drink.

Not true. You do not need to cancel a reservation to have a perk added.

I called last night and had this offer added to my current reservation on the Breakaway.

In fact. This I'd the second time I have called to get a perk added to my current reservation. About 2weeks ago, I noticed that on board credit was being offered. I called. And that was added.

Just contact Norweigen, or your travel agent. They will check your reservation, add the perk if you qualify, with out first cancelling your reservation.

You had a bike and an alley to ride it down? Luxury! We had to crawl down the middle of a busy street finding bits of broken glass to glue together with our own spit, just so we could get one bottle to recycle. And we liked it!

Ditto. We got our forms from the post office also. The clerk was very helpful as to what the procedure was. No muss no fuss.

Our post office was not so helpful. They would not even talk to us with out an appointment. And the only way we could set up an appointment was to go online. So if you did not have a computer, you were out of luck.

DH and I received our renewed passport books on Thursday, February 1. We also ordered passport cards. Those are to arrive in a separate mailing.
